If you got a bonus to accuracy when firing in first person, since a lot of gunners do that already, and you have to give up mobility and aim manually.

That sounds.... smart.

Obviously, if your aiming through a "scope" you'd have more accuracy....

Why didn't Sega think of that in the first place....

Good idea, an ADS system would be cool.

...and a matching -250 ata +1000 atp slot unit to make me care.

But seriously, your idea makes sense. I suppose non-CAST/non-fg would find it more useful too.

That's a good idea, but I like headshots more.

they could spice it up even more by giving weaker areas on enemies to aim for in first person too.

Haha, now this idea I like. Perhaps a critical for headshots? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

I remember ST mentioning something about weak spots on enemies, but so far all that I've seen that on are bosses. I don't think it's necesary on polties and what have you, but on large mobs like Vears and those weird big things in the AoI yohmei missions, it would be nice.

...Wait. Someone just came up with a GOOD idea for Rangers?

About time. Kudos to you, Ronin.

Well, since we don't get JA's for our bullets, I don't see how this would be unfair.

As long as an audible "Headshot!" is included.

Wouldn't mind "Killing Spree" or "Monster Kill" either. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Finally...something that makes sense unlike others' "Ideas".

Charged bullet (like lasers would do extra hits and rifles would knockback and shoot a bigger bullet ect.), kneeling, and rolling would be good too. Or like an aiming line for grenade launcher where a cursor quickly moves up and down it until you stop it to fire at that spot.

One thing I would like as far as actual actions, would be when I aim and fire upward, actually aim upward, not just have the bullet fly out at a 45 degree angle. >_>

YES!

now if only sega were that creative with their gunning mechanics

If I'm not mistaken... isn't the jp version getting a knockdown for lv.31+ rifle bullets in an upcoming update?

offline ep 1's rifle knockdown was incredbly useful on large enemies like bils, since they would end up staggering from each hit, which would make it harder for them to get near you.

Don't think that would make a difference.. My lv.34 beast is high and pround with his solid / power and has roughly..hmm i dunno.. 0 ATA and hardly misses >.>.. Maybe if they made it 'GUNNER ONLY' :]
