I need a favor. I know Episode 3 is progressive scan capable (and it looks quite nice played through a Wii with component cables, actually), but was wondering if Episode I&II was also progressive scan capable.

It should say so on the back of the box, where it lists all the requirements (eg. 1-4 players, memory card required, broadband adapter required, etc.).

If someone could check for me, I'd be much obliged.

Thanks in advance!

I just looked. Both the regular and plus versions listed progressive scan as a feature.

As others have confirmed, yes it is indeed. Also, I am fairly certain that any GCN game you play in your Wii will output in 480P as well. I could be wrong, my son plays GCN games on our Wii more than I.

Thanks, just needed info on EPI&II, though! ^_^

Not sure on this either, but I'll look into it tonight. I play all my GCN games through my Wii as well (using component cables), and it'd be nice if ALL games displayed in 480P, instead of just games that list it as a feature. It really does make a big difference, though.

Yeah... If the GCN game does progressive scan, then you can activate like you would on the GCN. Just need some component cables hooked up. Also some games don't have it listed on the back of the case if 480p is compatible or not. I think Smash Bros Melee was one example where it isn't listed but you can activate it anyways.
