I am a huge fan of the PS series and played PSO quite religiously on the Dreamcast.

I have PSU for the 360 and was wondering, is it worth subscribing too? How is the community.. is it dying, steady, growing?

The community is steady enough, usually 1-2 full universes on any given night. If you're looking for a repeat of PSO you won't find it here but it's similar. I subscribe to it so I think it's worth it.

How does it work, like PSO where you select which universe you want to go into?

Or is it typical MMO style and choose a realm and build a character on it?

Yeah, it's like PSO. On the 360 most people just play on the first 2 or 3 Universes.

same thing on pc/ps2 , universes 1 and 2 (2 being always the most crowded)

oh yeah its totally worth it, everyone is very friendly and usually doesn't mind if you tag along. Lots of stuff to do. If you ever wanna do some runs drop me a line.

Already liking this community. Just can't wait for my 360 to come back from m$oft's repair warehouse.

Was my choice. Got tired of the "Disc Read Error's". It was playable but the warranty was about to be up and decided I could spare a week without the machine to resolve the problem.

I will not lie: You will like US at PSOW, but in-game, us 360`ers are full of the assclowns.

I got a PC Filth, but Phantasy Star on PC is like some sort of blasphemy I am sure. I have been playing this stuff on consoles since 1988-1989, whenever PS1 was released.

As long as there are no asshats who use action replay to pk players in town.. I am happy, That was the reason I had to quit playing PSO ep.1

I couldnt live for more than 5 minutes after I logged.
