The guide says from level 31-40 all the spells effects reach level 4. So once it hits level 31...is there even a point in leveling it further?

Nope, not yet.

Well if you use it, it will level anyway. But the levels should be going to 50 at some point if i heard correct.

Your buffs and debuffs will be sad if they're the only PAs in your list sitting at 31/40 :/

I know that Effect Lvl for buffs/debuffs increase the range and duration, but don't individual levels increase the actual amount that is increased/decreased? Please correct me if I'm wrong because that's what I've been lead to believe.

the amount a buff/debuff increases/decreases is based on the SE lvl (shifta lvl 31, SE4, increases the same amount of ATP that shifta lvl 40 increases/decreases)

Sadly no, Ezodagrom is right. A level 31+ buff is the same as a level 40 buff. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Pretty sure each individual lvl you gain after you break a SE tier increases the duration of those spells ever so slightly. I also thought the range increased a tiny bit as well but I'm not too sure about that anymore. I may be wrong about the duration but from my casual observations, they seem to last longer the higher you go, lvl per lvl.

no, it just gets longer at lvl 11, 21 and 31 http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif
on my guntecher I have shifta lvl 16 and the others lvl 14, they have exactly the same duration.

Edit: On psupedia it says that lvl 1-10 buffs have 2 mins duration, lvl 11-20 have 3 mins, lvl 21-30 have 4 mins and lvl 31-40 have 5 mins.

That's so dumb D:

It seems so pointless to even level them after the SE Lv+ level cap, which is 31 in our case for now >.< and yes, I know, level them to 40 for when we get Lv50 PAs =P

Really? Well, ST needs to adjust support spells then. Pretty f**king pointless to reach a tier and have no extra incentive to lvl beyond that. You could argue about lvl 50 PAs coming in the future but then what's the point of hitting 50 after you reach 41? Every other PA gains something after you reach a tier. Why screw over support spells?

Because it's SEGA. Listen, consider yourself lucky with what you have, buffs/debuffs weren't even released for like the first 2 months when this game first came out. That's like my whole play style. Good job sega! No wonder why half the people canceled their G license within the first 6 weeks.

I've been here since PSU launch in America and I know what you mean. Sega murdered this game before it even got started because they only gave us an extremely small fraction of what the game had to offer out of the box and most people got pissed and quit.

Back on topic, I don't think it's impossible for ST to add something to the buffs/debuffs after you reach a tier. Slightly longer duration and maybe a small increase in their effectiveness would be fair. I emphasize slightly because obviously your largest boosts to these spells would still be when you broke a tier. (11,21,31, etc.)

The debuffs are fine the way they are. Leave them be. Nice range, nice duration...
Maybe if they had some flashier effects yes.
But getting added debuff power EVERY level, we'd tear the enemeies to shreads even more than we do now.
I say flashier effects. That's all.
Debuffs are dull all the way to 30. But on 31, let the fireworks display commense!!!

Flashier effects? I still want more incentive to lvl my spells beyond 31 just to make them flashier. As it is, I can hit 31 and just fucking quit which is dumb.

The worst part about buffs and buffs is that they just have to be the same as leveling offensive spells with the whole 'amount of characters you hit at one time' mechanic, so it just takes forever to level them up conventionally.
