Hey, I don't mind. Now poor blokes like me can afford an S-ranks we've just plain given up hunting (in some cases at least...friggin' Desta).

Hahaha yes. I'm seeing most 9*'s sell for way less than NPC price now, with fluctuations depending on grinds and %.

Overall, the economy is getting much more friendly to the new player. As far as S ranks, I'm not seeing them THAT cheap. I'm only seeing 1 mil the lowest for S ranks.

Sol_B4dguy
Mar 2, 2008, 07:30 PM
Really? I'm finding Vipers for 200k sometimes, and my Desta only set me back 600k.

Yeah, newbie-friendly economy = good thing.

Newer items are coming in and a lot of items are dropping in FOI like vipers and such thus lowering the cost significantly also the fact that nearly 75% of people doing runs are all in moatoob for the most part trying to get FOI thus more chances on getting a board and such I guess.

Mar 2, 2008, 07:54 PM
I stand corrected. I checked up on some 10*'s again and I was shocked. Saw Desta's for 600k, boards for 500k.

I'm all for price drops, esp since i'm dirt poor. But this in turn makes it harder to make a profit off your Sranks, i have a bunch I'd like to sell but they go for less than the material it took to synth them =/

Bought a Gur Asted 6/6 for 25mill when there were 7 in shops, now they're 4-6mill (6/6), my worst investment other than spending a grand on a Japanese Wii ($600)+ 3 Sets of Remotes/Nunchucks + Naruto/Bleach games...(2 years ago)

Hehe, I always fly on the opposite side of the spectrum - the morning that Song For Death was released, I sold one for 10 million... now they're what, 1m? At most?

I'm glad that some form of basic economics has shown up. I was fearing being called odd for trying to apply my business classes to my player shop. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

As for the song for death it's always gonna be someone of need as long as theres NO breaks and the 10/10 is still an amazing grenade launcher without breaking your bank. I'm kind of impartial to the dropping of prices as it is because I had a bunch of kan yu's before the newer situation and the prices have significantly dropped on them especially on the higher % but then again I guess it's for the better in the future because I can easily obtain things easy now instead of waiting weeks for a particular item I want/need.

Unfortunatly, for most of the S-ranks I have, I would get more profit if I just sold the board and all the stuff you need to make it, instead of putting it in my bot and hoping for a decent percentage. Not to mention that every now and then, someone puts up an item for cheaper than the NPC sellback price, which honestly should be a limiting factor.

Think about how many Song for Deaths 1up Cup produced. For each account, you could have gotten at least 4 (delete character, do it over for more) and considering the fact not many people use grenade launchers, it's no surprise the prices are so low. Same goes for Pumpkinheads with the exception of magical wands. And honestly, I rather not look like a singing hippie from the 60's who sniffed too much magic powder. Sacrifice some attack power and you can get the now equally cheap Gur Bazga which looks 10 times better in imo.

I sold a couple shatos for 10mil when Sakura Blast first came out. Now they're only a few hundred thousand http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Nothing like how a new mission can completely crash an item's price.

(Gur Bazga Boards, also, keep in mind, you can sell these to the NPC for 9k. Thats about how worthless they are)
http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f369/Akukame/PriceCheck04.jpg

(Okanoh Boards)
http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f369/Akukame/PriceCheck05.jpg

But its not a bad thing to have lower prices. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif I mean, after all the super inflation and crap that originally happened in version 1, where meseta was next to worthless, this makes it not just more friendly to newer and more casual players, but to the entire community as a whole I think.

So does anyone actually buy photons in player shops anymore? Back when I used to play, photons and materials were my main income, and now they just sit in my shop

I always sell out of photons when I put them out. The people selling these made weapons obviously have to make the weapons first, so they need the photons, right? I'm on 360 BTW, though I don't that should make a difference in the selling of photons.

Well how much are you selling them for? Because all I've sold is a couple Omega Acids, presumably because of The Collector, and Stelnium. And I know that regular PSU players can't visit shops of AoI players, but does it work the other way too? Because I'm not going to have the expansion until later this week, probably.

Weeaboolits

Ver1 players can enter the shops of AoI players if they're not using an AoI room ticket.

If it's a weapon that you can trade elements on, like guns and TECHNIC weapons, I synth those and sell the synthed versions.

I never know what element and/or percent people are going to want, so I think it's easier to just let them make it. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Yeah, I had to change my beginner's guide - originally when I wrote it, Photons were the best way to get money early on.

Now, it's things like Copernia and Olpads that you can trade for Grinder Base S's in the Collector Mission - oh, and Spicia, too, and the Truffles people swap in for Mushroom Lights, which lead to Bio Panics, which lead to De Colte Lines...

I like the price drops, I can actually afford to buy S-ranks now! The only problem is trying to sell rares. If you're not quick 10 other people will undercut you, then the item you originally priced at 8 million ends up selling for 4 million instead.

...I realize i shoulda sold this HALAROD for like 70 million dollars when it first came out XD.

Now Halarods are only 300k to 500k for a freakin 0/10. Bought my 5th for 400k since i didnt like my 3/9 anymore lol.

I was gonna buy a Fuka Misaki 25% ice for 1.5 million till i did a forrest run and found one for FREE at 28% Ice ZOMG.

Weapons that drop fully drop the price too. Huge Cutter for instance drops fully made off rappies and as a boss reward in lightning beasts. Sanzu Hiken drops full on white beast S.

Yes no more hoarding items anymore. The next thing i get that no one wants i'm selling for huge profit so i can fuel my hunger for materials for the next half year. I'm going broke in meseta. But its hard when i hear a friend would love to have such&such a thing i just sold XD.

Price drops are awesome.
Now you have more chances to make a 10/10 out of whatever you please.
