PSU-XBox 360: Random online updates??

So last night upon playing psu my friend jumped online and asked me to play some rock band with him. Of course after playing PSU for a few hours i could use the break from the game and decided to join him and play.

After an hour or so i jumped back online to PSU only to be disconected from XBox Live for an update...

My question is has anyone else seen these updates and is there any information on what the updates are doing? Im at the college computers now and dont have time to check any of the sites. Any help would be great. Thanks

Yeah its been happening to me too, but not for like the past 4 days now

its cuz you played another game then came back and psu downloaded a phantom update. nothing new was added or taken away. it just does that sometimes

its because your 360 only has a certain amount of game updates it can hold, so when you go play another game it will delete one of the others ones making you redownload it when you play the game.

^I guess you all can really plow through 20GB of HDD space(or 120 if you have it).

It's not HDD space, it's the 360's Cache. It only holds like, three or four games worth of patches (large, Cache intensive games like Oblivion reduce that number), and when you throw in a new game, it bumps the oldest one off the list.

It holds more than three games. The 360 has 7 GB of system storage, though not all of it is devoted to game updates.

I used the same harddrive since i got my xbox and its like half full.

We're not talking about HDD space. Cache <> HDD space.
