What do the EX Partner Machine's do?

I can't choose between the GH-170(Doe's your bot have to be Technic?)or the Ex Parnter Machine,while i don't know what the Ex Partner Machines do?

EX Partner Machine Devices turn any GH4xx series PM into any other GH4xx series PM.

regular Partner Machine Devices can only turn a GH41x into another GH41x, same with GH42x, GH43x, GH44x, GH45x.

All it does is allow you to change model lines on an evolved PM, it doesn't make a special EX model (unless you wanna so classify 470 and 480 since they can only be obtained by way of EX device).

ok.for example lets say i wanted Gh-420,and i have a GH-414.I feed it the 414 with the Ex PM and turns into the Gh-420 and has the same Equimpment and Technics as 414?

No. It'll have the same equipment and technics as 420. What stays the same is its synthing stats (like Striking, Ranged, Armor, TECH)

So Essentially they're a little bit better, and they use the updated Ally AI that came in with AoI?

I haven't seen anything to prove any "updated AI" on the EX Device versions of PMs we already had access to. GH470's AI is pretty atrocious, but GH480's is decent.

All mine seems to do is use wrong elements on monsters and refuse to heal, even when its health is so low, the HP Bar ceases to show anymore. Fortunately I'm close to getting its Battle Level high enough to get 480.
