Not sure if this is the right place to post this, or if some of my fellow PSU fans have pointed it out before.

But one of the irritating things about the numbers in PSU is the displaying of em..

They display 1 mil like this.. 1000000 Why the hell?????? I have 40" lcd monitor , sitting 2 meters from the screen, but i still have to walk up to the monitor and count them.... ( do I need glasses you might ask.. nope i don't, tested that last year )

Why not use thousand, like this 1 000 000
it would be so much easier to c what number is standing there. .

Hope im not the only one anoyed with this.. I need sympathy.. lol .. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

It's annoying, but I've learned to live with it. My parents both seem to dislike using commas and spaces between numbers so I've come to easily tell the number of numbers I read.

Yeah it irritates me a little too.

Even though itīs just matter of looking more into it.
A little break between the numbers would make it easier to read.

I've heard of it leading to drastic mistakes such as pricing an Agito weapon for 4 mil instead of 40 mil simply because the person counted zeros wrong... I wouldn't mind such a change.

Heh. Well that's pretty obvious when putting something up for sale. 10 millions is the farthest left digit, and millions is the one next to it >_>

Better count them zeros.

I work with numbers all day long, and every where in the normal life ppl use space between each thousand.. well well...

I agree, I always have to count the Zeros as well.

I hate to say it but it would be easier if their did something like...
Wow's 1 gold = 100 silver, 1 silver = 100 bronze thing
OR
if people would at least use abbreviations like 1k and 1mil more often

None of this is true....well, maybe in Norway, but...

no it isnt , but working with sales numbers and statistics and not using this when the nubmers you are working on goes over 1 mil.. it kinda is useful.

I've bought things on accident before because of this. :|

I do have to admit, the lack of number separation does slow my reading of prices down. I do catch myself being careful not to judge incorrectly by reading into the prices way longer than I wish, because I'm busy counting number places. It's usually once they get to the millions when this becomes apparent.

Working with computers will get you used to fairly large numbers with no spaces or commas or periods or anything else.

The only time I've ever had a problem though... don't know if anyone here has played E4 on Xbox Live Arcade, but try reading the high scores for that game without writing on the TV.....

I guess spacing between every 3 digits really wouldn't hurt. It's not much of a problem for me since I always double check my shop items before I leave.

I once sold a Coni for 500k instead of 5mil before. Thankfully, the person was kind enough to realize I made a mistake http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Japanese numbers don't work in thousands, have you played the Japanese version of Yakuza, Ryu ga Gotoku? the first time it can be confusing because they use the Man unit which is 10000.

Arround 1up, I know of someone who bought a Psycho wand board for 3,5 millions...

or they could just change the color per 3 digits. like they do with weapons.

That'd look odd.

good idea, but it would look funny. It made it easier to search for items but with numbers it would look off

The benefit of only having a 19" LCD screen means I can count the digits rather easily, but it would be nice if the localization team added commas to the number system, just to finish the fine translation job they've done for us so far.

..no sarcasm there, this is the only major screwup of theirs' I've come across, really.

Just one space between the thousands and millions would work just fine.
