Honestly i think Teamwork is something this game needs. Perhaps a less heads on approach to defeating monsters too, or maybe not so much enemies but definitly bosses.

A way to equip photon arts to a lot of weapons faster. I hate it when i want to equip the same 2 spells to 6 wands, and have to select one after the other slowly.

Triple Barreled Rocket Launchers.

A Zombie SE. Makes enemies turn into a type of NPC, and follow you around fighting whatever comes your way.

A Sword PA that has a long charge up, and fires a blast of energy firing to the next wall. It has a high ATP mod like Jabroga, and can go through targets.

Integrated Voice Chat for PS2/PC.

A way to set your own music into the game without moding.

Triple Barreled Rocket Launchers.

Sneaking Missions. If an enemy sees you, "Fission Mailed!"

An FPS mode where you can actually WALK AROUND.

Give melee newmans a point. Have them attack faster, or make their PP recharge faster.

i agree with everything on this list except the proportion makeover. You can already change EVERYTHING about your character short of gender, race, and proportions. There has to be permanency when you make a character. If they give the proportion makeover, when do you draw the line? Let people change their race at will, and gender too. Hell, let them change their names too, so every asshole who thought they'd be funny and make a short, fat female character named Bigbuttz only to realize they enjoyed the game enough to keep the character....

I really think there has to be some kind of permenancy to your character design.

This game needs to abolish the ungodly stupid EXP bonus for getting the killing blow. Make people still need to tag, but jesus, that stupid thing's been around since PSO, and it's -always- been useless. If anything, it helps -destroy- teamwork. If people weren't so concerned with getting the killing blow on stuff, then the whole "Game is based on DPS" idea wouldn't matter as much.

i think we need one server xbox with pc/ps2 . but!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! have it set up like psu v1 if a player from pc trys to drop money or weps with a xbox player they cant pick it up or see it. we cant go into their shops. we cant trade with them. just play and stuff just needs more ppl. D;

Well I meant Horizontal Proportion makeover as in....you can only change yer weight. XD Buuut I wasnt really serious about that one.

I think Name and proportion should be permanent.

Faster menus are needed in PSU. I often find myself re-performing a command simply because I did the button-press too fast for the menu to catch up. In PSO, I never had this problem. This is especially a problem when I'm trying to purchase/sell items.

I don't play any other online games. They neither intrest me or impresses me.

- Bosses with MUCH higher HP and stats in general, seriously Jabroga makes boss fights a joke
- More diverse missions in general, they're all pretty much go from point A to point B. (Basically make more Special Party type missions)
- Much better music, sick of having Ipod earphones in my ears while playin this
- Funner boss fights, that actually take teamwork and require some strategy other than 'Use X PA to bring it down-->Use X PA to deal moar damage, wash, rinse, repeat'

Those are my rantish, redundant ideas. >)

-Adding to it, ST need to remove that annoying "Take-off" movie each time you go to a different planets.
-add a heavy weather enviroment: storm, rain, wind, and etc. More excitement!
-just make 3-4 classes and dump the others classes. From then on, you will have all the weapons for that specific class to play as.
-grinding weapon is never fun, at least for me. LOL.

I think back when I first started, me and Syl here talked about this on many occasions during idling out at Raffon Field. It's not hard for them to add this I don't think. They've done so much with the lobby decorations already,why not?
(I still want a decent online snow mission for cripes sake.)

Just adding another thought to that though, having the music be different depending on the weather type would make it so much more awesome.

and yes, more music too. The thought of them adding another HIVE music to the new mission (ryucross) is really depressing. For goddesses sake, Mother Brain have HIVE music too. >_<

That's probably because they forgot to give the players the use of a Cardboard Box. Without that vital piece of military gear, it's hard to be sneaky without some sophisticated light-source based gameplay engine in place.

- Monsters further from our level cap (even fighting Lv135s at Lv120 is a joke)

- Make the level requirements based on Rank, rather than per mission. Some are stupid anyway. (Lv80+ for Duel in the Ruins S2? It's easy- why is the requirement so high?) Also, this'd stop people getting excluded. I've seen it happen numerous times where someone I know has been close to a requirement, but can't join (for example, being 73 and needing to be 75 for Desert Terror.) A universal level requirement based on rank would help with this.

- More items please, and make the dropcharts make sense. Why does a Grinna Bete C (pretty tough if you're soloing in particular) drop the same as a Go Vahra, which dies a million times faster? Especially when there's a lot of unreleased stuff (see: 11* Whip, 11* Dagger, etc). I realise Lv150+ mobs may drop 11* items, but it just seems pointless when a large monster drops the same rubbish as a regular one.

- Speaking for my European friends here- get rid of the lag, please. Seeing a Vahra attack me and getting hurt mysteriously 2 seconds later is annoying. So is using a Trimate, but the game using it 2 seconds later, once you're already dead (but still wasting a Trimate anyway).

- More distractions. Casino is good, but needs more games (poker, blackjack, whatever).

Answer: Somewhere in-between PSO and PSU.

We all know how SEGA likes to keep things a mystery in Phantasy Star, but what about the biggest mystery of all. Why did Sonic Team make a sequel to an already successful cult classic, full of lush sounds and futuristic environments with tons of unique weaponry and transform it into a stripped down dull version with rudimentary flaws?

It really is the small stuff that matters over time... From the excruciating pain of that “Diang, Diang, Diang-Diang, Diang...” sound to the redundant/broken login screen. I’m mean does the “retry” login selection actually work? NO!!! There are SO many little awkward moments in this game right now, that most people have learned to ignore them.

Along with the mundane style of PSU there is another simple issue that yet again begs the “BIG QUESTION(S)***,” WHY?

- ARMOR and SHEILDS…Why simplify Armor and Shields?

- Stat wise MAGS…Where did they go…evolving stats MAGS where the beez kneezzz.

- ARMOR with limited type slots, and only 1 resistance.

- Weapons with semi-ordinary names, not crazy bukkinui-blah-blah bad translations

- DUAL MECH GUNS!!!!! WTF….Single continuous fire Mechs, how boring.

- ADD SLOTS

- (just a random thought) Weapons that have a higher max grind….Maybe those so called KUBARA weapons could actually be consistent with the upgrade theory, and NOT some half-a$$ loser idea. The fact that the current theory isn’t consistent makes the entire idea a failure.

- TELEPIPES and Ryuker- This would allow for harder missions due to the ease of going back to town and re-supplying, and OR not wasting time. This would also allow for smoother co-op. ““Hello…TP?,” “NP.” “…OH thanks. I walk enough in this $%!@#% game. It’s nice to know that I don’t half to spend another 7 minuets just to catch up to you.””

- Not all this music is bad in PSU. I personally love the Sleeping Warriors track, but I mean HIVE is stupid and everywhere. Seems like most of the cool music only plays on obscure quest missions.

- Oh yeah. How about a QUEST mission that’s not so boring I need to be on drugs for it to be exciting. What happened to the ENDLESS Nightmare? TTF? You know, quick fun missions. People have A.D.D. so don’t put 50 bubble texts to get to the point!

- (sorry, got a little off the point) Night Environments, more Futuristic Environments…i.e. PSO EP.2 Space ship.

- BB had awesome sets, most of which included the SHEILD BARRIER and MAGS. Another reason why they need to bring them back. (aside from looking really cool)

Anyways, I’m sure we all could go on and on about cool features that they could put in the game. That’s because PSU has massive potential. Bottom line, I wish they would just reach it sooner.

Every time I log in, I say no to the "Do you want to start off in (name)?", end up in front of the colony barracks, and enter my room. Almost without exception. Is it too much to ask to save that half minute every time I log in?

The room thing is only a problem if you live on the Colony still. It's really slow to get ANYWHERE from Central Table on foot. Move to the planet you spend the most time on and you'll probably start heading to the nearest mission desk or useful on-world lobby (casino, shitenkaku)

Logging out to the character select screen would be awesome, or better yet Options -> Switch Character.

More aggressive AI, on Partner Machines and bosses especially. Too much wandering around and idle time.

We need missions that have super-rare 12* drops now that 11* weapons are available (if not common)

Lots of S-difficulty party missions, maybe even a party-mission version of every regular one (C, B, A, S, P) ... time limits, multi-player puzzles, and auto-fail on death are good for teamwork and challenge.

I agree with the options to switch characters w/o logging out, and starting in your room when you lot out from there. Majarra could also stand to get nerfed.

Id love more pallete space as well as harder missions or possibly let other levels in the mission lets say a lvl 50ish can join an S/S2 if he's strong enough and such but at the same time he wouldn't earn as much xp as if he did something more in his range like an A mission.

Phantasmal World quests and TTF. And yeah, like Zorafim said, it needs more epic. A LOT more.

An impossibly hard to reach level cap that doesnt only take a week at a time, so as to actually keep a hard to reach goal in mind. Some uber-rare drops, we're talking 1/28808 or so, like the PSO weapons were. Id love to have a weapon worth hunting for anything more than the hope of grinding it.

I'd settle for higher ranked missions don't think 135 vs 120 is hardly enough of a challenge, bring on more S2's hell bring on the S3's and higher.

Speaking of missing something from PSO, i miss doing Challenge mode. I know me and Chibi did a few together on my old gamertag years ago and i miss actually having to plan and WORK for the prize at the end. A unique S rank item with your name on it would be awesome, shit we'd even have a use for some of those left over PA frags = item exchange to get items and abilities for your created weapon.

Make bosses a little more epic, it really is just smash this button over and over again at least give them more HP for how many people are in the group vs a set HP value for the rank. If De Ragan has say 50k HP for S2 with one person give him like 275k or so with 6 people so it at least seems like a longer fight.

And for gods sake less reskins of the same monster with a different element attribute, make new creatures for us to kill

i dont want the enemies to just have more hp, i want them to be harder hitting and more aggressive. It would create some intense fights definately.

I also would love to be able to equip 2 pa's per melee and gun weapons, i would be cool using tornado break and then hammering something down with gravity break.

Yeah that would be okay...I would like something similar, but with a twist....

C . B . A . A2 . S . S2 . S3 . ULTIMATE.

Ultimate would be insanly hard, but the items would be insanely good. All creatures would be reskined to look different, and envirionments would be switched up. Like a night/stormy Plains Overloard...................That would be a sweet twist to the mix

The ability to *gasp!* use BOTH analogues properly while in the menu screen so we can actually MOVE our characters WHILE searching our inventory?

PSO-xbox did it right, why on gawds earth did PS- PS2 AND PSU-360 take a step back in this way? Why do I have to grow a 2nd left thumb to be able to move and search my inventory in PSU?!

Oh, and I DEMAND "Word Select" to be brought back! I want the ability to say simple phrases to my European and Asian buddies and for THEM to talk to me in a simple way too. And the very LIMITED (about 12?) custom phrases you're allowed to save for yourself is NOT enough and is pretty primitive from what I remembered from PSO-Xbox.

Between Word Select, the 8(?) phrases you can assign to your digital pad, symbol chat, AND a keyboard, communicating whenever my mic broke was extremely hassle free, and didn't require ONLY cycling through a menu of your 12(?) phrases to get to say what you want.
Playing & communicating PSU on PS2 definately felt backwards compared to PSO-Xbox (without a mic).
Why?! PS2 Doesn't even HAVE a mic, plus it's an online game. So Sammy's Sega now feels like they can slack off from the communications department?

For example: (for those who never played PSO).
Symbol chat (8? option slots) can be reserved for simple universal pictural emotions ie. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif >< http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif (if you don't abuse it with offensive pics from back in the day).
But can be kinda be remedied by giving us an easy way to do our face pics WITHOUT having to text something with it.

We then also got at least another 8 text phrases we can asign to your digital pad. It's ease to use without spending time cycling through a long menu of our set phrases like now. (And selecting the wrong phrase on top of that in your haste during combat). And is usually reserved for highly customizable quotes you like.

Then there's Word Select, which can be saved for simple communication like
Help me! > Ryuji (name of party member).
Hi > everyone
Are you ready? > Mary (name of party member)
I'm going in, back me up > Dan (name of party member)
With word select, you can single ppl out with simple sayings.

What do we have now on PSU? Forced to sqeeze all that into 12(?) slotted phrases?!
PSU is suppost to be an upgrade! If we get ver.3 of PSU, I'd better see an improvement in this department!

Being a little realistic in changes I'd like to see here:

Give two handed melee weapons the ability to equip two PAs at once, similar to how rods can use up to 4 spells.
Make S rank weapons actually worth hunting. By this I mean give them better PP regen, higher atk and accuracy than 9* weapons, and give them more unique effects.

That is, if you mean the extra phrases the characters can speak during missions and inside the rooms. So far PS2 users are the only ones with them, unless 360 users were granted that in one of the updates recently.

Actually, the hit detection can stand to be overhauled. I almost feel like I'm playing a point and click, considering I can attack enemies without my weapons touching them, and vice versa. They seemed to of worked on it a bit come AoI, so I hope it's something they work on more. Hell, even PSO got this much right.

but i think it would be sick to have an off hand shield equip(i know omgs we have the line shield)
i'm talking like you have the ability to block with it and it deflects how ever much dmg like 1/4 idk just an idea
