Zombies, and Skeletons and stuff, whats with all the undead hating anyway. It's written in the RPG Bible that you can't have an RPG without some badass undead.

i like that idea, but make it armies of the evil human/humanoids vs. armies of the good humans/humanoids. wouldnt that be badass? make it look like a braveheart scene or somethin

The zombies could be the Pioneer 1 people that died and are revived by Dark Falz's power or something. Also all the enemies the hunter's killed could be revived as zombie creatures.aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Isn't CLOUD STRIFe technically "Not Alive"? There were so many interpretations from religious and scientific prespectives of that game i just can't put it all together..but anwyay im pretty sure cloud wasn't supposed to even have been born or something. then again i might be misinterpreting the entire point of it.
back to the subject. the idea for the undead, sorry i'd hate that. given the fact that most of PSO is based on a Biological mutation from whats given in the story son. But id like to see um perhaps more mechanical enemies.

Technically he was Sephiroth's clone. He was a failed experiment though, depending on whether you consider something born from science that was a mistake sort of determines whether you think he should be there or not. But, IMO, he was alive enough to beat the hell out of Sephiroth at the end wasn't he?

More mid-bosses would be sweet. And monsters like dragons, orcs, trolls and big snakes.

They gotta bring back something like the Sandworm from PSIV but not like in the form of De Rol Lie but like an open field you can move freely around in (and so does the sand worm). Or like more of the old robots would be cool like some of the ones in the Odin base in PSIV (the Wren wannabez, those big ass industrial bots with big ass claws and the 2 robots that combine to form a bigger robot like a power ranger megazord lol).

Well, it would be cool if like on V-hard forest or something, they had a quest called double dragon, where 2 dragons appeared at once and you had to kill them both. It would be called something like Double Dragon or something. And they should also make some Humanoid badies that come from the dead. It's a classic cliche that never really gets old.

there's a difference, they give a detailed explanation in re 2 how they become zombies and why they act that way. if you really want me to explain it i will so just give me a reply. but it'd be stupid to make unliving things in pso.

Ehhhhh, I'll have to agree with the minority here. Zombies just... Wouldn't fit in with PSO. More robots would be cool. I'd like some acient-technology-looking robots. And a mid-boss called the UBER-RAPPY. *Shrugs* I'm not really sure what I'd like to see...
I want to see Hunters start to get infected like Flowen was, and then go postal aboard P2!

anything new would be great! just wish they'd quit re-hashing the old enemies with new bodies, make completely new ones...and undead enemies would be decent, even if it didn't play into the story line exactly, its not like the pso story line is all that stringent, they could pretty much throw in anything.

Not so. In PSIV, on the planet Dezoris, the townspeople were being mutated and turned into zombies by Darkfalz' Black Wave. Also, in PSII, you had to battle mutant zombie rabbits on Dezo(ris). I think there were zombies in the first PS, but i haven't finished it yet, so I'm not sure.

how about a boss that is a human. like someone badass and you would have to actually use stragety to beat him instead of hacking away at his feet.

Point is, there is a precedent for zombies in the Phantasy Star series, so, you know what? Zombies would fit right in. Hell, Dark Falz hisself is damn zombie. Don't play onegame in the series and assume you know everything. Go play them all, then come back and talk to me.

-More powerhouse flying monsters like Nano Dragon, not pushovers like Cananes and canadine so RAs and FOs have their cake and HUs don't get most of the exp.
-More regular monsters with irregular or special attacks like C/D Bringer's Geist Absorb, not some puny foie or gibarta *looking at the gibbons*, but they're the main ones so I can't complain about them.
-Make a (mid)boss where an emotionally scarred and corrupted mag is hellbent on revenge on all humans. Yes, they can use Leilla and Pilla but in real time instead.
-Where are all the Chimera's or monsters with fused genes?
-A monster that can revive or use scape dolls (some sort of puppet wielding monster).
-Baby versions of monsters (i.e. the baby hildebear you saw, or is it a hidelt in ultimate mode?)
-Stronger magicians, they're not strong enough nor deadly enough.
-Door monsters. In Ruins 3, everything looks so organically creepy, why not actually make the wall an enemy that can be very deadly? Give some abilities like poison blood, white blood cells, regeneration, or even Photon Negate (negates Photon attacks in that room for the rest of that game) after sacrificing it's own life.
-More monsters that can charge!
-More projectile wielding monsters.
-We haven't seen any lizards yet, RPG Convention 242 says it's required.

Ok now you've just headed on a complete other direction. I'm not assuming I know everything, and I have played them all so eat me. 2ndly ZOMBIE AND UNDEAD ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. Undead are "Allready Dead, yet able to commit action"-a ZOMBIE can be defined differently. So how about you go and try and figure that one out pal.
Ex: Zombie's in RE technically ARE NOT the "undead", but mindless walking humans with only thought in their mind being to "Feed," and therfor they are zomies but NOT DEAD. Zombie's yes could be in the game, and allready are as you've stated. so um yeah...and stop arguing because never once did i say "Zombie's don't belong in PSO", I said "The Undead" because the undead would have to do with BullCrap ressurecction of dead corpses. Zombie's ARE in pso.

I could be wrong on this since I have not played all the RE games, but my understanding of the zombies is that after infected by the virus, it kills them THEN brings them back. But I could be wrong, so I'll shut up before I make myself look stupid.
Whoa. This is one nerd fight I dont want to participate in. I'm outties.

so, when the gold dragon in ultimate mode splits himself into 3 gol dragons, each using a different elemental form of attack, thats not enough for you?
I think there needs to just be MORE enemies in the levels. a group of 8 or so "booma type" monsters isnt enough. there needs to be situations where there's dozens, even hundreds of monsters in a group. that would really give swords, partisans, slicers, and shots a workout, not to mention multi hitting techniques. it'd be best if you could get yourself into a situation like in Two Towers with like 10 000 guys O-o. insanity.
and Dark Falz, or some kind of "Dark Lord" needs to be come a main bad guy that actually creates "armies of darkness" that come after you. obviously AI needs to be smartened as well.
to go along with this, more weapons need to be made as well, like a Photon Bow.

Ok I'm just gonna say one thing about zombies.
the definition of 'Undead' in the dictionary is-
No longer living but supernaturally animated, as a zombie (moving corpse).
That'll shut some of you up. hahaha

rember all the faces in the ground at Dark falz? and arnt all the monsters on Ragol mutated humans? and Dark falz and olga flow just er like took over 2 of the best hunters...so it would be cool if they made anther thing like famitsu exept...there would be a certion date in real time when a "war" like in Dark Falz lvl or some where would began...so it would say would say in the..."info board" press here to add your char to the list" and there would be 2 sides ...and everyone would just be on on of the 2 diffrent sides (jp and eng combind maybe?) so there would be like....10,000 Hunters all at once in a battle room (dark falz lvl) all fighting and the peeps that kill the most will get a REAL life prize or money or somthing....but that would take wayyy too much bandwidth like 10,000 all in same room we'd get like 1 attack per min the net would be going so slow lol but ited be cool ^_^

hm G spy you should talk
ANyways about the RE thing on how they are killed before becoming zombie,s no im pretty sure that wasn't right.
If the subject was dead then the virus could still infext them because it just gave them the neural function and thought of basic need to survive which was "eat". Rendering them Undead zombies....now my point is i thin it'd be pointless to throw in UNDEAD zombies and such UNLESS they included some wierd explanation as to why they have come back to life. As far as skeleton's go, i think thad be really dumb because there is no logistic possibility for that. perhaps some zombies missing some meat though http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif So maby if Falz Blast infested dead rotting bodes some how they could incorporate the "Undead".

Fine, allow me to re-phrase. Dark Falk and Olga Flow are undead. The zombies in both psIV and PSII areundead. Now, you can say that undead do not fit because they require magic of some sort. IF you had played the other PS', you would know that all the characters in PSI and Rune in PSIV used magic, so that exists. Hell, if we can have any fantastic creatures because they don't "fit", I guess we better remove Myau from the series entirely.

this is what i think, it may sound silly but I am serious.
1st there should be objects and common people that fight you: like the wall grabs you, the nurses take off there masks and battle you to the death.
2nd there should be a last boss that shrinks when you back away from it and expands when you get near it causing damage. (ive thought about this a while wondering how hunters would attack but o well.)
Last there should be at least 15-20 new and different monsters in each area.
