Hmm... only living thing in the world, eh?...

Dunno. I guess I'd die, as without living things to feed off of, I would starve.

you still have fruits to eat and nothing is in your way: predators, prey, and etc. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Well then I would die of malnutrition, as I am not getting any meat in my diet. The lack of other nutrients would impede my abilities and I would shrivel up and die.

But eh. I watch enough Survivorman and Man vs Wild. I might survive.

It'd be pretty boring.
But everything would be free. So who's complaining?

Cz
Mar 12, 2008, 01:32 PM
oh come on now Alex, you only need water and fruits/vegetables to survive. Who knows? you might adapt to that kind of living. But yeah, i would be scare to death if i was the only human alive. Especially at night, it's hard not to think of ghosts. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/cat.gif

yes boring, but you can maybe come up with weird inventions while you're bore. A flying human machine maybe? lol.

I might be able to adapt. But it would be wierd.

I wouldn't be scared. What would there be to be afraid of?

my poor little sister despite the darkness. LOL. She acts like a 5 years old and needed me to come along with her whenever it was dark.

I have a few more in my list of what she hates:
Me
Cockroaches
Rats
Spicy food
Meat o_o;
provoking her
ghosts. -_-;
blood

AlexCraig

Only a few things I hate. Not much.

Arachnids.
Heights.
David (some of the time).

Xefi
Mar 12, 2008, 02:11 PM
I hate heights too. I was in the military and went airborne.
Even though it was my job to jump out of C-130 Airplane, i never once like it. It was pretty scary most of the time, but when i got out of the plane, it was nice.

adding more to her hate list:
sharks
and i cant remember the rest. *sigh*

i am doing this now for fun since she went off and bought some food to cook for tonight. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

she is too cute not to tease. LOL.

But to answer her question, if i were the only human alive, I would lose my emotion and soon my soul because i need interaction to save my humanity. Human are not ment to be alone; such tragic situation.

AlexCraig
Mar 12, 2008, 02:27 PM
Eh, I could stand being alone. I love the interaction and I know it would be better with at least 1 other person, but I can handle being alone. I know how to survive.

Hmm... That's quite a head scratcher. First I would find some kind of inanimate object, like a volley ball, or a pillow and draw a face on it, or a manequin(sp?) so as not to go completely and totally insane. I would head to some kind of market for dried seeds, and fertailzer and other things for growing fruits, vegetables and legumes. I would then head over to Hoover dam, because even decades after there is no one around Hoover dam will still be generating electricity. I would then live the remainder of my life naked in and around Hoover dam jut trying to survive starvation. I think I could survive a decade or two living like that.

:D I like cookies... There is still one problem with my plan, gas. I'm not sure how long the power grid in my area will saty up, so I might not have enough time to get to a gas station with enough containers before the machinery and computers shut down. Then there is also the issue with certain automatated things, like raising bridges and the such, that may make things much more difficult in reaching my eventual destination. And in this hypothetical situation does everything just stop existing, or are there like dead corpses lining the streets suddenly? The latter may cuase issues of disease and smell and decay, though if I'm desperate I could resort to eating the fleash, or using it a a type of fertalizer.

no living things exist, just you and the trees, plants, fruits, vegetable, ground, water, and mother earth itself are what's left. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_hamster.gif

What a wicked world! lol.

You'd probably have to work a lot to keep things like power supplies up and running. It probably wouldn't be worth it. I'd just wait until I died whilst playing a battery-powered games console http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

well, no new entertainment, ever. So grab yourself a generator and build a house next to a gas station, stock pile those video games and movies. The internet might go down at some point (though with you being the only one on, FAST INTERNETZ http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif ) Food would not be an issue, canned food will last for years on end, and grocerie stores are full of them. Other dried out ingrediants last a long time as well, and would probably be fine. Sure, you won't be eating anything fresh unless you raise or grow or hunt (here in missouri, without hunters, wild deer would be very plentiful, and hunting stores would provide plenty of guns and ammo)it yourself, but you could live off of canned stuff. Instead of using a gas stove, try and locate an antique store with a wood burning oven, and use that for cooking. Or just get a grill, with no one else to buy them, you'll have plenty of charcoal to burn. Also gas can be taken out of other cars, not just the gas stations, if you're in the city, you are in luck.

You could live in that state of the world, for a good long time probably if you stayed fit with exercise to clean out all those preservatives you'll be eating from your system. The greatest challenge would just be fighting boredom and the utter lack of human companionship. Also any severe injury or illness, as there will be no doctors around (though if you know your drugs you could raid a pharmacy.)

Technically, the ladies could try to repopulate. On the other hand, there wouldn't be anyone to run out to the 7-11 at night to pick up rocky road and pickles, so it would be tough going.

If a lady is the only one left, who's gonna give her the, ya know.

Anyway, without meat I would die. Seriously, meat has 2 amino acids that aren't found in any other food, and it's somewhat vital to you. Although you could live without it, you'd be malnourished.

Anyway, this sounds a lot like I am legend, so no.

locate a sperm bank. And hope to hell you have daughter that can use the sperm bank as well, otherwise you'll have inbreeding. Actually, for a long time, it would be wiser to actually just have females and completely cut the males out (or may cut something off) for many generations to prevent mutations due to inbreeding.

That's a slippery slope, my friend. We declare plants as living beings, soon they'll be asking for the right to marry plants of the same sex--and in multiples, too!
Oh, the humanity!

Also a consequence of extra-animal elevation, what will become of our intestinal flora and the bajillions of other microbial friends keeping our bodies in fightin' shape? It's gonna get difficult to digest that cat food without 'em.

No, no, it's best to say living things = animals for the purposes of this particular fart of fancy.
