Are they considered to be a striking weapon, or range?


I would think range, but what do you think?

I was going to synth one and need to know what PM to use.

If you use it with PAs, it is a melee weapon. However, you can use it to "shoot" the target / traps like a gun.

Anyway, it is count as a melee weapon when calculating damages.
