Having problem with a boss on PSU

Hey, FKL. I've got a question. This has really been frustrating me of late.

How do I defeat the Cyberdemon?

So THATS where it is! Is it safe to use at close range?

Not really, but it is the only way. There will be a cutscene after you use it.

Depending on what direction you choose during the cutscene, you're fate will change. 3/4 times you die horribly in a grotesque manner, but if you choose the correct way, there is a slim chance you can survive with only mortal wounds.

Slay the trash mobs with regular weapons to charge up your Soul Cube. Attack the Cyberdemon with the Soul Cube a total of 5 times, and it will fall.

If you are playing Doom Episode II or Doom 2 (or a mod thereof), then rockets or better are recommended (though not required). Keep your distance, shoot firing backward. The Cyberdemon's rockets are slow, and fairly easy to dodge; if you keep an eye on him, then it shouldn't be horribly difficult. No guts, no glory.

For what it's worth, both strategies are essentially the same. Gamepro just managed to put it in fewer words. There's no special tactic, really-- just make sure that it dies before you do.

The truth is, you cannot defeat your boss. At best, you can annoy, frustrate, and antagonize him, but he has the power to axe you in the end. Petty retaliatory acts in return for the mental grief he's caused you and your cohorts are unadvisable. But you could always try poisoning his coffee.
