Online: I'm new, please help, have some questions about PSU

Hello all
I'm new player to PSU. Long time ago my boyfriend showed me Pso but i didnt like it much, but now i seem to enjoy Psu http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif I dont have an account yet, but hopefully will in several days. So now i'm playing off line mode.

I read several starter guides and still have some questions left, i would be grateful if you could help me http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

First of all, if you give your PM a Recipe board and then try making something, can you take that board back later and sell it or give to another players? Or board is consumed after one attempt of creating something? Can items made by your Pm be traded or sold or they are bound to your account?

If so that means that if i dont want to level up my Pm i just can bring recipes to my friend and his pm will create items for me?

What are "looting" rules for Boards while in a party? I mean if a gun recipe drops, who will get it? The player who can/will use that gun? What if the recipe is a room decoration item, who gets it?

Is it considered rude to take items for your alt characters?

I read up on types and decided to play force. Either fortecher or acrotecher in future.
Is it important to get ALL possible techniques in game? Is it important to level up every technique? Or i should at least have one technique of each element?
Should i be carrying 6 rod/wands with me all the time to bind each element to a separate one to get a bonus?
Any "good" spells to get for start?

I know at higher levels you can get PA and trade them for techniques. Should i wait or buy some of high level techniques for mesetas?

Another stupid question- is there a way to change that ugly underwear? Or every time i take my clothes off i'll be wearing that sport outfit? O.o

If i buy Music disc for my room and use it, is it consumed like remodeling ticket or it can be replaced and then used again?

Once you placed the board into the synth PM, its stuck in there. All you can do then is synth the item, or delete the board, which means either way, the board is gone.

Yes, you can trade and sell any stuff you synth. The only thing that is bound to your account are items you get from the Casino (Minus the Voloyol cowgirl outfit) and the glitched Al Tippies daggers.

If you don't wanna lvl up your PM, since it does take alot of work and meseta, you can ask a friend to synth it for you if they have the right type of PM. Be warned, always ask someone you trust.

Looting tends to be random in most parties, the loot settings can be "Give Finder" "Random" or "Order" however. It usually means that whatever board or weapon you find is given to the person randomly or because he/she picked it up. The game will not give it to a player just cause it can be used for his or her class. If you want something and someone else got it, all you can do is ask and hope they give it to you.

I dont think its rude to take items for alts, just as long you inform and ask others if they also need it. If there are several people who want the same item, best is to type /random or /dice to roll for it and see who gets lucky.

Different techs have different attack power %. Check the sites to see their stats, and check this video for how their range of attack looks like when they are level 31+.

Its naturally best to get a spell for each element. How many spells you want and which type is up to your preference. You can search the forums to see what others feel about different spells. (Use search feature and type the spell names.)

Of course its best to level your techs so they grow stronger, and in an update in April, leveling up techs and PAs and bullets will no longer be painfully slow. (Thank god.)

It is best to bind the same elements on a single rod/wand/madoog to get the bonus, though its still up to you. I personally always have a healing spell on hand for rods, so they don't have a bonus.(Healing spells are light.)

Also, get madoogs for healing. They cast much faster, which is crucial for healing yourself and your teammates. And since its on the left side of your action palette you can immediatly attack with your wand or melee weapon.

Good spells... Different people have different opinions on it, but I say get Dambarta, Diga, Gi spells, Ra spells, all 4 buffs spells (Shifta Deband Zodial Retier) and of course the healing spells Resta and Reverser. Others may tell you more on them though.

To get Ultimate PAs and techs, you need PA frags. Since spell disks cannot be sold or traded, getting frags by doing S and S2 runs is the ONLY way to get the best spells. Awesome spells like Giresta and NosDiga, Megid can only be traded with PA Frags. Meseta will not help you there.

You're stuck with that underwear, but you can get Swimsuits in the Colony clothing store if you fancy something better when you soak in your room's bathtub decor or at the hot spring, beach or Oasis.

Music disks increase the music selection menu, so you can change back and forth to different music. I think its probably consumed though.

Also, you only need Ambition of Illuminus to play online. Unless you care about episode 1 story, which you can read the transcripts in the forums anyway, you don't need Version 1 PSU.

While you can still play with people with just version 1, there will be alot of items and missions you cannot access, not to mention player rooms and shops, which is usually how I get newbies to find me.

Photon Fortune doesn't really have an effect on anything but grinding and number of drops, though some people are convinced otherwise. And about the Formal Dress, you can't get it anymore, but I'm sure you can find one in a player shop, though they might be a bit expensive.

Lower grade boards, like say boards that synth C, B or A weapons have more chances on them (3 I think.), but S rank boards , you get ONE SHOT at synthing something, then the board is gone.

Formal dress is an event item and can now only be obtained in player shops are high prices.

Alas no. I wish it had an effect on the Casino. I would actually gamble in those cases. I've absolutely horrible luck in there.

The cat-van is sort of an in joke with me and some friends. No actual relation to the game, I'm just being silly.

Though you can roll dice in the game, it is still a random chance someone will end up with the item if that is what the distribution is set to. I think the dice rolling is a way to mediate if someone else wanted the item too. Witch is great if you are running with a group of friends that like to share. But I really don't see that being the case if you are running with strangers.

Also, I'm almost always on when I am not at work and I'm always up to hanging out with new people...I seem to be running into a lack of regular friend players as of late. If you ever want to run togeather or just say hi...look me up! =D
