...I didn't know that. How are the graphics? My 360 died recently (now replaced) but I was thinking about getting a PS3 later this year.

If the graphics are comparable to 360 I might jump to PS2/PC just to pick on Dhylec for a bit.

really? hmm when i put the disk in it said it couldn't read it... (i just got the ps3 today)

It looks like PS2 graphics, but it may or may not have less slowdown. Also you have to have an older one, or the one with a big hardrive, as those are the ones with backwards compatablility.

which brings up the point, why the fuck did they put an internal memory format for the ps2 in the ps3 if it ain't backwards compatable

That's what I wondered.
Then I found out that you can play PS1 games on it, but not PS2. ?
