Im making this thread so anyone and everyone can come in and share both their grinding triumphs, and their epic failures, among other grindaholics like myself. So, to start off.....
(stands up, clears throat) My name is R2D6, and I am a grindaholic. Earlier this week I broke a couple 50% Muktrands, and about 24 Shatos.
So go on, what have all you other grinding fiends broken or succeeded in? Post away =P

I actually do not grind very much. I am unlucky with synthing high grinders, and it also seems too expensive. (If I was on the 360 server it probably would be completely different.)

My name is Retniwreven, and I'm a grindaholic too.
I've broken at least 15 Shatos, endless kubara copies that I insisted on getting to 10/10, and a couple of S ranks as well.

Though with S'es, get it to 3-5 and I'm happy.

Yes, indeed for some grinding is something not to be tampered with it, but for others.....its an addiction D: when I go too long without 3* luck I just afk in my room until either a friend comes in with something to do OR until I can buy luck again >:D

Yeah other than the first grind, I use +10s all the way, I was so pissed earlier I had 4 of them at 9/10 and broke the first 3, thanks 'high chance'.

Either that or two to three, but either way it was a very high chance with good grinders.

Hi, my name is Cathbar (Sath for those that know me online). I can't say that I'm a Grindaholic. I usually try and stay as far away from it as possible, but recently, I was given a "love letter" by my friend and used it to make the S rank bow. The next day, as it were, I had 3* luck and thought I'd try to get my bow up to around 3 or 4.

I broke it the 1st time going from 1 to 2 and the suceeded in getting it to 4 like I wanted... BUT I kept going I got it to 5 and then to 6! I'm sorta afraid that I'm getting addicted <_<;; I just keep saying to myself 1 more, you can do it 1 more time.... o_O;

Yes. That taunting call of 'One more time' has been the downfall of many. I take a look at the next grind up in the item database and see if the payoff is worth the risk, and also if I like the numbers more.
For example, if something could be 2040pp or 2067pp, I'd go for the 2040 just because I like it.. for whatever reason.

It's gotten to the point with me that I get edgy if I don't grind my A ranks to at LEAST 5/x, and my S ranks to at LEAST 2/x, or 3/x if I have decent grinders sitting around for that third grind.

Hello, my name is Gunslinger-08, and I'm a bit of a grindaholic. I first started heavy grinding a few months ago. It was my favorite Creasabra, and one day I got it in my head to try and get it to 10/10 because of it's impressive stats at that grind. 5 minutes and 20ish grinders later, it was at 8/8, but I couldn't give up. I blew all my money buying new Creasabras and grinders, trying desperately against fate to get one to 10/10. All I ended up with were 0/6 or worse, and one 7/10 (I ran out of grinders). I was broke, destitute, and even more broke. I finally recovered, and I do still grind, but I force myself only to do it in moderation.

I had a psycho wand at 5/10 and a gaozoran rod at 5/10. I am now the proud owner of 4/6 and 4/7..... this sux.... I do have a shigga destac at 7/10 and a love bow at 7/10 though..... i know, who cares about those....

Most of my Weapons are (7/8)...A,B,C-Grade.
And (3/10)...only S-Grade..

I've got a 5/5 Psycho wand but I don't really care about the second number, being as that I'd never try to grind one past 5 anyways. Plus it looks more balanced this way. =3

Ended up grinding a varista and shato to 10 with 20 grinders... Then I grinded my SfD's to 2/2 and 0/5

Edit: I also grinded a Snake to 7/9 and a snac to 8/9 while I was drunk (I thought the 7-8 grind was 4-5).

I think the worst weapon I destroyed without purposely trying to kill it was a Halarod I got fown to 0/4 before I decided to go for the fabled 0/0. Unfortunately it stayed at 1/1 ><
Some of the better accomplishments of my grind craze are the following -
Muktrand 50% Dark 10/10 (my baby I just made yesterday, still so excited!!)
Muktrand 46% Fire 10/10 x2
Muktrand lightning 46% 10/10
At least 10 Shatos to 10, lost count, probly closer to 20 now
3 Ranpegi to 10
All my own A ranks on all my chars, except melee, to 10, these include -
2 Phantoms
2 Cugo Mambas
1 Cubo Dunga
2 Deathmakers
3 Varistas
1 Python
5 Magical Wands
2 Doris
1 Mira-kikami
1 Shigga Bines
1 Majimra
2 Van Brella (one at 5/10, the other at 7/10, too gunshy to go further for now ;D )
But yeah those are just the successes, be sure that the list of failures totally trumps this list, but hey you gotta take risks to make it big =P

Well, its only been an hour into the luckfest of 3/26, and Ive already broken 4 Magical Wands and 5 Shatos to 0/9, but I got one of each of those weapons to 10! Gonna try my luck on a couple 42% Muktrands and a 50 now....Im expecting this thread to get some action today being there are 4 races with 3* =0
