Hey, FKL, this is Tact, reporting live (well, not really) from the Isle of Quel'Danas. This island, newly released in the latest patch, actually has screenshot-worthy things for me to show you. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
Now prepare for a lot of pictures, and that means a lot of spoiler boxes.
First off, a couple of pictures of Sun's Reach Harbor, where I arrived shortly after the servers were done with maintenance. Three big words I'd like to say: OH, THE LAG. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif I'd never seen so many people in one place before. It may not look like many people are there in those pictures, but everyone's either inside the building with the blue curtain or on the ship, getting quests. Each server starts out with only Sun's Reach claimed by the Shattered Sun Offensive, a faction from Shattrath City. So far, Bloodscalp has managed to capture the Armory and are in progress with making the portal from Shattrath.

The denizens of this island are an interesting mix. Demons, Blood Elves, Undead, and, well, these guys. The Wretched. Basically, they're Blood Elves who have succumbed to their addiction to magic. They would be dangerous, but...

Now for the largest part of the story. I delved into the Magister's Terrace, the new 5-man instance. Mostly, the place is filled with crazed Blood Elves and Wretched. I'll let my pictures do the talking about what else is in there.

He tries to feed off of the mana crystals in his room.

Then...he blows himself up.

Now comes the part where the Mages are needed the most.

Of course, since I'm pretty much an exploding vending machine, I can nuke the ever-loving crap out of these things.

Now, the next boss. He releases balls of Pure Energy that need to be killed or they will heavily damage the group. We did, and then used the DOT/damage buff to blast him down.

Next part, not really a lot to say here.

Giant robots.

And a whole group of boss characters that we pulled without first making proper plans. We lost the Priest about halfway through the fight but we still managed to take them all out.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Kael'thas Sunstrider, weakened significantly from the battle in Tempest Keep (a 25-man raid), can now be taken out rather easily by a group of five people.

This is him blabbering and doing his obligatory bad guy monologue before the fight.

Now I said he can be killed easily, but my group had horrible luck with the timing of his spawning of other enemies and his gravity-destroying spell. After five tries or so, he went down.
