Hello

I have some more questions, mostly about Tech. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

+Tech is how efficient will my spells be. Does that influence healing and buff/debuff spells?

Sometimes after changing weapons i have a cooldown for spells, the icons would light up one by one, taking around 1-2 seconds... Is that cooldown normal, or its just due to my connection? I cant figure out what influences that, sometimes i can cast immediately after weapon swap, but sometimes stitching to my healing weapon takes painfully long. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif
By the way, is it a good thing to swap weapons every time new enemies of another element appear?

How do i get to my alt's room if there is no shop there?
Is it possible to send your partner card to someone when he/she is not online? If no, then how do you know if someone is online or offline, if you have never met in game before and didn't exchange partner cards? O.o
Like i met someone on forums and want to see that person in game...
I know its possible to leave message on the board, but still you cant know if/when the person is/will be on line http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Another question about raising a PM. So as i need it to be able to synth tech items for me i should go for 45X series. While having enough Tech level to evaluate into needed model, should i raise all other states of my Pm as well? I heard someone saying that its important to have EACH state maxed, will that increase the %of succeed synth? O.o

Looks like thats all http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
Thanks in advance http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Edit: Some questions answered http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

long post is long with lots os questions firsty I would tell you to ake a little looka round and see if you can find some of the beginners guides

but to answer some of your questions: Tech will 'add' to your characters tech and cause more damage PP is just how many times you can cast in simplish terms.

Techs don't exactly have a cooldown it most likly is your connection but hammer away at the button and you'll cast it

Rods do cause more damage than wand/mag combo although the wand/mag combo does give you more PP as you attack with one the other can recharge and if you swap between them you'll have a nice supply of PP all the time
Mags are the quickest casting followed by wands then rods.

some people will say get all and level all however i disagree get the ones that you like and think are useful for your play style you will most likely want to have foie or diga as you're new to get the most damage output for cheap PP cost

handgun/bow bullets are not exactly necessary however you may want to get one but its up to you Bow/handgun isn't going to be a damage dealer just to help fight off some bosses or flying enemies from time to time so it's you call

PS2 controls sorry i can't help you there I'm 360 http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

as your a force if you intend to make youtr own equipment especialy force equipment then yes level up your PM's tech however it is fairly exspensive you can always change the model later with EX dvices but you don't need to worry bout them for awhile yet.

hope some of this helps http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif have fun

to shout put @s at the beginning of what you say, @c for thoughts, I believe cut ins were @## (first number for the face, second for the angle), I'm fairly sure these are correct.

Hello! Welcome to PSU and PSO-World!

Im gonna try my best to answer all your questions!

PP is like ammunition for weapons, it is used to pay for the cost of techs, different techs have different costs. The Tech on a weapon is just how strong that weapon is, it will cause you t do more damage per tech. Tech Power does not influence buffs/debuffs, but it does help determine how much you can heal for.

The lag between weapon switching is simply because, to be honest, PS2 is a slow system, I played on one before I switched, and it is hell to switch weapons. The only way to get around this is before you start fighting creatures, at the beginning of each quest its good to load all of your weapons, and give them a chance to load the photon arts, it doesnt 100% fix the problem, but it helps a little.

The 'Mags' dont make the actual spell move faster, they just cast it faster than a Rod will.

Yes, Rods are most effective for DPS, and Wand/Mag is best for Buffs/Healing. I personally use a Wand/Mag for damage too though, because of how much faster they can cast than a Rod, certain techs have status effects that are more easily distributed by faster casting.

Your palette should be set up however you want it, dont let anyone tell you otherwise http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

How you level your spells is also up to you, but I like to level them all at pretty close to the same, but its probably more effective to level just a few for starters until youre a higher level.

The only way to get to your alts room if they dont have a shop is to log onto them =X No, its not possible to send someone your card if they are not online, and without their card you cant see if theyre online. The only way to arrange a meetup would be use of the Bulletin Board in their room or by way of the Forums.

The way to make your character use different chat macros can all be found here. http://psupedia.info/Chat_Macros

When you raise your PM by feeding it items, it would probably be best to make it a 'Pure' PM, in other words making at all 100 levels of the same category. That way it will have the best success rate on making that type of item, and since you have 4 character slots, you can have one of each of the PMs and make anything you want!!

Hope this helped, enjoy PSU :3

First of all, thanks a lot!!

Special thanks to R2D6battlebot, your post cleared almost everything out http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I am curious, which ones, like burns from Damfoie?

Yay, for fast and pretty chatting! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Wow, that really sucks... http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif ... This cooldown is a real pain..I should consider playing on Pc, but control is so terrible, i was playing several hours and still couldn't get used to it. I should buy a joystick for Pc then O.o

And what if i level my Pm to 100, and then feed him so all states are at 100? Will it be good at synthing all types of items?

By the way, armor pm's (its 44x i believe), they are specialized in synthing units, right? But no pm can specialize in line shields?

The status effects I like to use are mainly from Nosdiga, Diga, Foie, and pretty much any of the Gi-class techs.

Yeah, from my understanding there are a lot of people on the PC who just use a controller, Ive never played on PC though, so I dont know how similar it is to PS2 controllers.

When your PM reaches level 100 it wont level any more, so each one of your PMs can be level 100 of one stat, thats how I have mine and it works out great, especially now that you can make your PM any battle model you want with the new EX PM Devices! As for an Armor PM, they synthesize Line Shields, there are no units that need to be synthed, all of the Units in the game are found or bought =P

So if my Pm is lvl 10 now and it has 5 striking and 5 tech, and i will continue feeding it with +tech only, by the level 100 it wil have 95 tech and 5 striking. It means i will loose some % of success rate for synthing tech weapons, and gain a little bit of chance for striking ones? O.o

So should i reset my Pm to zero and restart to make a pure one, if i want the highest chances possible?

Edit: Also, if i use EX Pm device later, it will change battle class, but synth specialization and states will stay the same? Isn't it a bad idea having like model 41X striking Pm with lvl 100 tech, i mean will it influence its attack power and damage output in general?

Ya majority of pc players will tell ya controller is the way to go. I bought a 360 recently, and though I don't play psu on it, I do love the controller and wanted to use it for psu. If you already have a wireless 360 controller, you can buy a wireless 360 adapter for it for pc. It's actually 1st party (created by microsoft) and will work on any pc, even vista. I really like it a lot, and it's great having a wireless controller for psu.

I've also heard that even if you don't have the wireless 360 adapter, but do have the usb charge cable for 360, you can plug that into your pc usb port, then connect the wireless controller. It will charge the controller, and as an added bonus, register the 360 controller as a wired controller device for your pc as well.

The wired 360 controller also works on pc as well, just plug & play pretty much. There are also similar adapters for ps2 controllers, but I highly recommend the 360 instead...much more comfortable for long hours of gaming. There's also many 3rd party controller developers specifically for pc, but again, I highly recommend the 360 pad for psu.

Yeah, better to reset now before you have wasted lots of meseta on feeding it. You will regret not making a pure probably, so its worth starting over.
