View Full Version : Buff Resist?

I noticed that the second last symbol on the resist unit is an arrow pointing up. Is there supposed to be a resist unit that prevents buffs? That does not make sense to me. Or is it supposed to be something else?

i remember seeing something like that in the perfect bible. i think there is a unit that resists debuffs, and also one that resists buffs 0_0;
its been a while since i read about it and i dont have the book close by to check rite now, so i could be mistaken.

Now what we need is a Resta/Resist and a Giresta/Resist. Better yet, a Rare Board/Resist, now whenever an 11 star board drops, even if you're alone, it will skip you, but you will still get useless boards like scape dolls.

I got kicked and blacklisted from a party for buffing once. The person mentioned this unit, I thought he was joking.

We don't like your kind 'round here, you and your fancy buffs and 'rides. Artificially augmenting your stats! Around here we use the stats ST meant for us to have! XD

I think we can all agree Knockdown / Resist is what we need most right? I'd personally like a Evasion / Resist as well

Way I see it working is sacrificing the ability to use buffs for some sort of compensation.

i cannnot possibly think of a use for this...

I mean i look at it this way...

It adds 70 dfp correct? Well, say someone casts 30 deband on you. That may/may not equal 70 dfp, but would you sacrifice ALL OTHER FORMS OF BUFFS (attack, accuracy, evasion, technic power, mental resistance) for the difference of 70 dfp and the deband buff (IF its even lower to begin with)!?!?!

I always figured it was some form of maintaining a buff....like if a Goshin hits you when you have Shifta, the Jellen wouldn't effect you, or something of that nature.

Actually, I was bitched at about this before, during 1up cup.
I casted deband on the party and got bitched out because apparently you build nano/suv faster if deband is not cast. Granted, the person who was crying died anyway and lost all his buffs/suv (partially due to my lack of caring if I healed him at that point), so that made me a bit happier.

I'm glad sega made an item to cater to the 1 person in the game that doesn't want buffs. That should solve some major issues.

Wow, talk about a must have. Apparently my character must have secretly picked up that Rare/Resist and equipped it. Either that or I just have a permanent "Watch everybody else in the party pick up sweet rares" boost. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I have "a-rare-you've-never-heard-of-but-everyone-wants-for-some-reason/attract". It's a combo with the one everyone starts with, "dont-get-the-rare-you-want/resist:. It works out pretty well.

Not only can you not see rare/resist, you can't feel it either, so your character doesn't know they're wearing it.

XDeathX
Apr 2, 2008, 02:53 PM
It was made for fighters and gunners so they can wear it when masterforces are in the party.

I forgot about my unit that kinda counteracts my rare/resist some. It is called a Vulcaline/Attract.

Another little something to help say, "I'm so bad-ass I don't need buffs!" Kind of like the Tar Tarre (http://www.pso-world.com/items/psu/7/1972/tar_tarre/). Ha, silly rogues. <_<
