Time is almost up and I'm still not married! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I'm a dashing young lvl90 HUcast, who enjoys walks on the beach and watching the sunset.

Please fill the gap in this lonely HUcast's life. :'(

It's obvious we were meant for each other. Allow me to wisk you away into the darkness of the night and...

Bah, I remember you. You were being very rude toward my female friend last night. Ladies, this character is not a worthwhile catch.

How so?
I'm a lonely HUnewearl... Where have all the cowboys gone?

All the smart cowboys got hitched yesterday, and the true smart people got married on Friday before people knew about it.

What about those of us who were playing another video game (I know, blasphemy!) for the past 5 days? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Orta, Orta, Orta! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_hamster.gif

Even with that game around though, I still got my HUcaseal (she got divorsed two minutes later) and VERY temporary HUnewearl joke character named $5 Byula hitched. Er, not to eachother. If I had the ability to have a lezbo wedding, I probably would have.
Man, that whole ordeal made me feel dirty.

i'm very curious about this marriage thing. Can sombody explain how this works and why do you even want to get married? Is there like an online wedding ceremoney where everyone is invited? cause i want to see one and what happens after the marriage? is there also a thing such as divorce? please sombody explain!!!!

Basically, after 500 "couples" are "married", a door will unlock in Maximum Attack 2. That's really the only reason most people would want to get their character hitched, and I did so very reluctantly, until a friend told me how friggin' funny the whole thing was. And it was quite funny... But still mentally disturbing. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif
So, unless you have a real life PSO honey, the only reason you'd wanna do this is to contribute to the 500 couples list.

And man, I wish it was possible to get divorced... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

how would you know if a couple is married though?

... Good question. o_O No wedding rings on PSO. This could lead to some... interesting developments...

Heh, heh. Well, I got one of my characters hooked up with a nice woman. So I don't feel too bad about contributing. Now I'm wondering where the charts are that lists the couples who participated. The whole thing was funny. Sonic Team definitely has a sense of humor. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

weddings rings be nice, a wedding chapel online would be nice, wedding cakes be nice, and what about a divorce!?!?!?!?!?

this is kinda off the subject but i remember reading a while back about a real couple who got married over ffXI with a ring made for them by squaresoft for their characters(which i think cost real money) and had their own lil wedding online with their friends from the game. I think the japanese went a little too far on that one.

That would be an interesting dynamic to the game, but I wonder what kind of game it would be if there were such a thing. Could you imagine the problems there would be if someone started taking that sort of thing seriously?

What about those who couldn't find anyone to "marry"? Would they be bitter? What about the concept of divorce. Heh, the whole thing would be strange. Especially since so many guys play female characters....

Actually I spend most of my time palying Morrowind and Earthbound. I plan on switching to Xbox PSO anyway.
