Hello again,

It has been a long time since the last update on this issue, and I have
no excuse for the long delay in sending you updates about this issue.
But I am writing to let you know that we are preparing to return your
lost items directly to your common box during maintenance on April 11.

Sonic Team has made incredible progress on this issue in the last few
weeks, and has been able to completely recover the data for your lost
items, including elemental percentages and grinder upgrade levels for
weapons. This is a great improvement over previous incidents where the
item data was lost forever. While we are not happy with the long delay,
now Sonic Team has a more effective response ready for any "my room"
item deletions if our security software is bypassed again in the future.


I have not been able to prepare individual lists of items we have
recovered for each of you, but if you need to know this please email and
I will get it to you as soon as I can. If there are any serious
discrepancies between Sonic Team's list and what you reported missing we
will follow that up with you, but we do not want to delay getting you
everything we have already recovered and plan to deliver next week.

Please make sure to leave room in your common box before maintenance
next week, a few of you should be expecting the return of 20 or more
items.

Wow. A complete return on items sounds amazing, and if ST has a way to offer this when/if this happens again then I may actually open a shop without worrying if some hacker is going to pop in and destroy all my hard work on either the shop items or the PM that I've already had bombed once in the past. I'm actually excited about this.

Remember? It was new years. Razor and Nobody was screwing around for like 3 days while no one was at Sega. Floating on the fourth floor and stuff? I only remember because my shop got hit (for the... third time? I've lost count.)

I don't suspect it will happen again. Pretty much anyone who hacked the game has moved on or just doesn't feel like hacking anymore.

On another note, it's good to see Sega finally getting to this. That was like, 4 months ago almost.

Who cares about it now? The people that got hacked HAD items to hack. Most of them have found better stuff by now anyway. I honestly don't see people saying, "If only Razor didn't hack me....". It was effing four months ago. I'd rather see ST spend their time trying to get us stable updates.
