They're warning about maintenance again? I'm impressed, SEGA.

holy crap... speaking of things we wouldn't expect of sega...
what if they made the next phantasy star project an actual mmo? supposing they actually make another phantasy star.

Yes, im impressed too! It really seems they are actually trying to improve this time! The warning is back, chillaura has been telling us about the scheduled updates, he has also been answering a lot of question at the official forum. I must say i enjoy this new behaviour, i hope it lasts and they improve more every day! This makes me even more excited about the game! We were lacking information, and apparently they are working to improve that!! =D

I am definitely noticing a lot of changes in ST this time around. Very nice.

Ah good, I love those things. Gives me that creepy Tornado-Warning-sorta feel. All we need now are the shrill sirens.

I'm never on when the servers go down, but I'm glad to see the return of maintenance warnings. Communication = yay. Keep it up, SonicTeam!

Has never bothered me really since it's like 6am when they go down, but although it is an improvement from before, it seems slightly weird to cheer over something that they should have been doing the last few maintenances.

Yeah, I love how we're all getting excited over maintenance warning messages http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I have to facepalm just a tiny bit at how far our expectations have fallen honestly.

I'm usually not up when they turn everything offline, but I've managed to on v1 some and on AOI a month or two ago. I was so 'facepalm'-ish when there was no warning whatsoever. Good to see they came to their senses.

So... you mean the servers used to shut down on you guys with absolutely no warning whatsoever?

Yes, they did, it was rather vexing.

Come to your sense boy, they are finaly doing something right we have to give them credit
It's got to the point where we've given up hope and out of the blue they seem to be changing for the better we have to encourage them with simple and constant reminders on how good they are.

like kids when they're learning how to use the toilet....

Well, aside from the warning on the official site that says "every thursday at midnight PST", yes.

It's easy to lose track of time though, it's nice to get a little "hurry up and finish what you're doing" message scroll across the top.

Agreed.

I'm glad they're doing this again--I had heard they stopped doing it. Given the change in the warning appearance, I guess they have had to type it out as a GM broadcast and that it is not actually an automated script.

They probably should look into that ...

Well sure it happened once. What matters is if they stay consistant.

For once...I think I have to agree with you here lol. Also it's not about our expectations falling, it's about them showing that they're actually starting to possibly listen and do some good for the game. It's a small victory but we should take whatever we can get lol.

Love,

It appears that the warnings only stopped on the PC/PS2 server.
