View Full Version : Debuff idea

Debuffs are crap.

So here's a tiny idea that could make Debuffs slightly useful:

Basically when you cast a Debuff, instead of applying it to the enemies seen on the screen, the caster drops what I'll call a "debuff node" (or something). Any foe in the vicinity of this node will be debuffed appropriately.

As the ranks of the debuff grows, the power and the area of effect of it is increased. At its highest level, the debuff will have such a large area of effect, the caster won't need to place another node until after a long while. The node will have the ability to effect foes in separate rooms.

So, good/bad change?

I think it's neat. I'd rather see it as a new magic though than a change of the debuffs we already got.

... or add some non-elemental damage to 'em similar to the debuff bullets for guns.

I vote for this. They could work like megiverse or something.

How about they just make the enemies have more HP/hit harder and have a higher defense and ATP? This would greatly improve the game...
