I'm tired of seeing all these sigs about how to find a private server, we only needed one, and the best would probably be the quote from meira. We don't need all these ones where the word google "hidden" in them. Just because the servers went down doesn't mean that people suddenly got retarted and can't do anything by themselves. The majority of us know the names of at least one server, so seriously, we don't need these sigs at all.

I swear there should be a sticky with this stuff about using google to find a private server in it.

I agree, Ryan. One is enough. We don't need a bunch to get it across. The one the was made by Meira was the best and most well received.

WHILE I'M AT IT, I might as well say that all of this "Other places", "The Other servers", "Those places", etc stuff is also trying to irk me. We know you mean the private servers. Hell, there are only them left. So I doubt we even need to say any of the aforementioned wordings. So long as you don't say their names and stay well within forum rules, when you say "online" we pretty much know where you mean. You should not have to dance around your words so much.

"I was playing on the 'other' servers last night, and..."
is unneeded. All you should have to say is:
"I was playing last night and..."

Again, let me try to clear this up. It doesn't matter what you could call it, private, other or grandma's secret hideouts. Just don't mention the names or how to connect to them, then we are all good.

No no no. What I meant was the constant slew of it all. I don't mind what they call it. But it is just the deliberate attempts to get people to question. Every time I turn around there's another person "Well, on the other server there's this quest...", "My friends and I on the most well known private server...", "Oh yeah, on that server...". It is getting under my skin how often I see it (while I know that at the moment there is no harm from it).

But I agree, I hope this will be the last time.

My main point was the multiple sigs with, "just go to google and.." I t really gets on my nerves.
And Tsuk- This has nothing to do with x-box at all because they are no private servers that support x-box anyway. The idiots with the sigs about google are talking about the other versions.

And Alex, if you haven't put it in already, can you put info from this topic in your sticky?

I am, but I am also an advocate of the forum rules. While I do play on them, I do not go about spouting ways to find them or my pride for them.

In a nutshell: I play on them, and that is all you need to know.

You miss the point entirely. The point is, everyone whining that waaah, all the official servers are down, PSO is dead or waaaah, all the official servers are down, why can't we talk about the private servers are wrong about it.

I made no suggestion that anyone should go play there, merely noted that they do exist and until such time as they do, any whining related to 'waaah all the official servers are dead' is not only stupid but wrong.

And even with those not whining, it's still annoying, because the official servers *aren't* all dead and it annoys me when people don't have their facts straight. >_>
