Cast Fortefighters.

I want to hear your opinions on Cast Fortefighters.

I am one and i get some crap about it.

I personally love it because i hardly ever miss because my accuracy is soo good.

My secondary character is a caseal fF and FI, and it's great. I mean, this game is so easy, and the difference between a CAST fF and a beast fF really isn't going to be that icredible. BEAST FTW, but a CAST fF will get the job done too.

Cast therefore > Beast at FF.

Damage difference = Irrelevant at level cap.

Side note: The 3 minute Fighmaster run of TD S2 was, yes, a Cast. Smoked a whole room down instantly with one quick Paradi Cataract.

I seriously doubt our loss of MST is enough to warrant tech damage a downside. I should run some tests, seeing how much damage I take with and without my armor when getting hit by a tech. Then again, what enemy techs actually use MST for a damage calculation?

Erm, all of them? The problem is moreso that MST is a relatively worthless stat.

See, from my experience, I've gotta disagree. Sword vandas seem to have a much stronger diga than regular vandas, despite not having any other buff. Plus, so many attacks you'd think of as techs are actually enemy skills, like the Kamatoze dambarta. It's hard to keep track of what's ATP dependent and what's TP dependent.

But like you said, MST is worthless anyway.

Beasts hv superior hp, dfp and atp and tp, i guess. casts are good at all those, just not AS good as beasts (in FF). The ata is a big boost though. I don't really know which one i'd prefer, but i'm working with beast atm.

TECHs are dangerous. A couple of Digas will outright kill my CAST fF in almost no time at all. Heck, I think I've been one shotted by the buffed Vandas in Awoken Serpent. It makes me cry whenever I see anything using TECHs in a mission.

I think CAST is a fine choice for Fortefighter, so go ahead and pick it. Hell, you can even be a Newman Fortefighter and still do good.

techs can kill you either way, I have a female human acrotecher and can still almost be one shotted by those vandas, if more than two hit me at once I'm dead. MOral of the story: don't anger anything that can throw a gigantic rock your way.

Well, a CAST with a Solid Power S is basically on par with a beast. SPS on a beast seems like suicide to me with that -80 ATA.

Fortetechers will take less damage from said attacks than a Fortefighter. Same goes for those "enemy skills" which you can block, a la the white Foie-ish thing. I'm 99% sure they're TP dependent.

I play a CAST fF. No problems, stats aren't too far from a Beast, sans ATP. HP isn't too far off to be that much of an issue since i'm used to lower HP classes anyhow.

Arguably the second best choice for an fF, imo. Go for it if you like it. I know I sure do.
