Remove all the real-life prizes, and we'll likely be looking at something along those lines. We've never seen an event with real-life prizes, and I doubt MAG will be any different.

And a related question to that. Does it add your scores from all your characters together for acollective total or does it start a new total for each of your chars giving you a chance at 4 spread needles?

I'm not sure anyone knows exactly what will be taking place on the U.S. Servers, but I'm almost certain that the JP servers had it set as individual character based score rankings.

Maybe an individual score per char for the spread but there's a chance that's only 1 per acount for a few top ranked score. At least that's what I can make out from here http://phantasystaruniverse.jp/event/mag2007/personal/

I really hope they take in account how much smaller our combined populations are when it comes to kill count totals. Its almost a 5:1 ratio now when comparing JPN pc/ps2 to NA pc/ps2 + 360 psu.

With the Japanese version of MAG, everyone got a Sange. Spread Needle/G went to the top 500 players based on number of kills they achieved individually. For our version of the event, we don't know how it will work. We're still waiting for official word on this to come in.

Did japan get the rewards when they got the mission with the boss in ryucross? I remember seeing cubo mamba on rank A list in MAG. Because i saw musrana on the non-event mission. Need to know if musrana drops in event or if that mission will come fast enough for me to get more musranas to grind.

"Seal of the Dark God" was released in Japan immediately after the end of MAG. Their reward period began one week after that. Of course, this doesn't mean ours will work exactly the same way.

Cubo Musrana does not drop during the event, but if it interests you, the synthesis board for a Cubo Tuma drops on S difficulty in Program DF.

At least we have 4 days of MAG before GTA comes out. I will need some massive distraction to survive the pre-GTA jitters. The points systems of these two events are slightly different. In the most popular of the Firebreak missions, you could earn only up to 100 purification points by completing a perfect run, while S-ranking the MAG mission will always earn at least 240-something points.
