honestly. I think there should be just Kbs in the xbox version of this game.

Im tired of hearing (pardon my french) "what bitch!" from 12 year old little kids!!!!!

in pso I remember all the respect people gave you. there was always a thank you or a smile whenever you helped someone.

I think this goes with having a keyboard for some treason. any opinions?

360 doesn't have a keyboard option? o_O

Uhh the 360 has the TEXTER a Microsoft product. Its a Mini-Keyboard that attaches in the space between the handles directly below the directional pad / right analog stick.

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360messengerkit/

Isn't this item Or just a regular USB keyboard compatible with the USB ports of a 360?

Chatpad doesn't work in psu. And yes usb keyboards work on the 360, which are far better.

Sorry but I didn't see a correct way to vote IMO.

Explanation: I am 36 year old mother and I don't agree with KB or Voice with people typing or using bad language with my children in and out of the room. I do not use bad language around them and ask peeps online to watch what they say if my kids are present. Most are very nice about it and reply with an "I'm sorry". Most are respectful but of course there are some that are not.

In a nutshell, I know there are those out there that enjoy(in a childish way) using bad language and will probably even curse me on here for saying what I am, but it is unneccesary to tempt(in my case) 9 or 11 year olds into repeating what they hear/read and possibly getting them kicked out of school for copying others.

Sorry for the rant but this topic hit a nerve. My 11 year old is in detension for writing a bad word on his desk.

Oh, then maybe he's saying that voice chat should be taken off the 360 version. Personally, I don't feel comfortable talking to people I've not met over the Internet for a few reasons, so I think I'd stick to a keyboard most of the time if I played on 360.

I like it the way it is. Some people stick to their keyboard while others use the voice chat. I understand the annoyance of bumping into those 12 year olds that think cursing is cool. They annoy me too, but at the same time I have met some cool people that don't curse or insult people and it is easier to play the game voice chatting back and forth while killing monsters together. To me it boils down to being more selective with who you party with. I guess this is a bad thing if you enjoy random parties, but I like the option to do both. When I do jump in a random party on that rare occasion I will normally start off using the keyboard. If the group is cool I usually get on my headset and join the chat. I have noticed others using this tactic as well.

I use Headset and an USB keyboard (just putting it in the xbox USB port) I'm fine with this. It works pretty well.

I guess the correct answer for this topic is "your to old school enoch" lol
I think keyboards ad more PHantasy to the game

I'll keep my Voice Chat, thanks. I've yet to run into one of these children that are apparently rampant in the game. Should I happen across one, it's a simple matter to mute them and move on.

yay or nay arent correct answers to your question, so i cant vote.

i prefer keyboard, but i wouldnt mind having an optional headset like xbox does. it would be a good chance for me to improve my japanese speaking skills which are basically nonexistant, despite knowing a great deal of jp from text communication over the years.

I have alot of IRL friends on PSU so I use my headset 99% of the time. So I almost always have someone to play with. If I am in a party and someone joins that irritates me, I just mute them, simple as that.

Telling children they can't swear makes them want to, and knowing from my own experience, I did swear a lot when adults weren't around. I think teaching a child to swear responsibly is probably the best course of action. I myself don't really swear anymore, but using hell, dammit, and crap are words that are acceptable by TV standards and are the most harmless of the bunch they could use.

When I'm on 360 I use a usb kb. I don't tend to chat over the mic as I'm English and I get tons of "dude, where are you from!?!" from my fellow Americans. Sometimes people even struggle to understand my accent. Tbh, I sort of get fed up of it plus I sometimes find it quite hard to talk to very chatty ppl who are complete strangers to me.

I miss the old voice chat thingy, especailly with the regular guys we play with I wonder if Dirk still have that server up for it on PC. I would certainly like to go on again when M.A.G. starts.

I use voice chat only when i am with friends. I find it to tedious to use a kb. If i have to go to uni 1 on the xbox servers if my friends aren't on i just use my kb if i need to. As for the annoying people its just as muting and putting on some music http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I only use my keyboard. My music is too loud, so I can barely hear people anyway.
Only talk to close close friends, which I still try to use my keyboard, unless they would rather just me talk.

I don't mind talking most of the time. Although, when you've been playing all day it gets kinda akward, and or I have nothing to say. Akward as in you say "goodbye," or "later man," in private chat only to realize you can still hear each other kind of awkard. lol http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I like the voice chat, but most of the time i'm in a private chat with a friend.

Yes, there are annoying people with voice chat, but there are annoying people with keyboards as well. Especially in the Casino lol

I remember having to juggle a controller and a DC keyboard back when PSO came out. I don't really miss that.

Does anybody remember that ascii keyboard/controller for the Gamecube?

Usually, that doesn't stop me. Well, considering that I'm trained to talk in multiple accents anyway....That and just like any other place, America has loads of different accents within it. You definitely don't have to live outside the country to get those questions, here. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Yep. And we all have green eyes and unusual skin colors, too. It's funny how I have all these machines, but I didn't notice this amazing biological change in my very cell structure until I bought the xbox. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I use my keyboard. Reason 1: I broke my headset, and have never bothered to get a new one. Reason 2: I have an annoying voice and I know it, so I want to spare people the pain. Reason 3: I prefer to type since I'm in lobbys most of the time I'm not playing, so typing is preferable over having to party with people to start a conversation. I'm just so glad that muting people through LIVE also blocks their text, that has saved me a lot of space on my B-list.

I use the headset if most of the people in my party have one, and while I do occasionally curse its usually only when I resta'd someone a second too late and they died, I don't cuss people out for no reason
