How do i get a custom avitar?

They don't just give out custom avatars. Sean got his because he won the contest, and the mods each get one it seems.

the owner of the site, gideon, has decided for a long time now that he doesn't want users having custom avatars. so for now, only mods and contest winners and selected users (who have earned their avatar by contributing to the site eg: snapple) have custom avatars.

we do however, have a large selection of avatars and i will be adding more soon.

Thanks, also lolita is there a way I can submit guides to the site? I've written some mag guides and posted in the forum but was wondering if I can submit them to the guides section.

I had two questions, but I didn't want to make a new topic for them, as threads already existed.

1) Is there a particular reason Gideon has not allowed custom avatars?

2) Is this the same Gideon that owns and runs a popular Smash Brothers message board?
