after noticing that lumira/spread also boosts the range for ra techs, i wanted to test nosu techs also. first off, i needed to figure out the normal max range of the nosu techs. turns out there isnt a max range! the nosu techs always reach to the end of the map at lv 41. here are some screenshots i took.

i went to the longest map that i knew of and casted nosudeega and nosumegido from here
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk183/inazuma65/nosumegidomidori.jpg

nosudeega reached all the way to the other end of the map
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk183/inazuma65/nosudeegabeast.jpg

nosumegido did too
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk183/inazuma65/nosumegidobeast.jpg

went to dima and tried casting nosuzonde from the opposite end of the map

hit em (^_^)

that seems a little broken just like the slicer.

Not really. Nosdiga at that kind of range would most likely only hit an once, and considering the time it would take for the TECH to travel that far any kind of attack at close range will produce a much higher DPS.

Huh, wow. I didn't know nosdiga had that kind of range, but I knew Noszonde and Nosmegid did. Wtf. Very nice.

actually, all nos techs do. this is something that's dependent on your button hold/video settings.

I leveled my noszonde to 40 and nosmegid to hi 30's on dimma, and if aimed in the proper direction, they have this effect.

Technically, you won't be able to see the effect past a certain point if some of your distance lod's are turned off...it'll disappear off the screen. However, if someone's on the opposite end of the spectrum (like these pics were taken), they will see the same thing with a 31+ nos tech.

Dunno if nos techs are capable of this BELOW 31+, but they are definitely capable of it at that point.

Something interesting to check would be to unbind the hi level tech from your character, store it in your pm and buy another brand new nos tech to try it out. I'm thinking even the lvl 1's have this property, but again, no way of saying 100% until tested.

Kage bunshin is a shadow clone technique. Probably from some ninja anime or movie. Basically when someone splits themselves in two or more parts.

Just checked out google and looks like it's probably from Naruto.

Don't you see? there are 2 of Midori on every screen.
1 near Dimma and 1 cast nosu-tech from far away. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I think that kind of range can be quite valuble...A soloing techer could use that "safety zone" in which none of the enemies attacks can reach you, yet you can pummel them w/ Nos-techs. I like the idea alot actually.

i didnt know about lower level nosu techs having this range. i never tested it before. it looked like they would disappear on my screen if they got too far, but at lv 41, nosuzonde and nosumegido will stay visable on the screen for the entire time. so thats why i thought it was exclusive to lv 41. well, since it stays visable for lv 41, you can better take advanatage of the range.

hmm... So question, when do the folks on non JP servers get lv 41 techs again? I'm absolutely burning to get them lol

Well.... lets see.... They're in the middle (or end?) of their Dengeki event... which is after MAG.... So I'd predict maybe fall this year? lol

sweet, now the only problem is that even tho the Nos. spells, have that kind of range, monsters won't spawn from that far away...but the possbility of new safe zones being discovered...>8D

Well, I certainly didn't know what the hell a Kaga bun shin no Jutsu was.

Also, he fails for liking slicers in PSO? I thought they were pretty kickass, personally.

At any rate, the reach on nos techs is pretty impressive.

Hey, for you and me, Ninpou Kage Bunshin will always be Hattori Hanzo's move from Samurai Shodown. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

The main reason I know they were talking about Naruto was because google popped up like 100 links for Naruto. Of course Kage Bunshin was around long before Naruto (even Samurai Shodown). Ninja Scroll, Ninku, Flame of Recca, Yuu Yuu Hakusho, even Dragonball. But of course everything done in Naruto originated from Naruto, no matter how many other shows/novels/comics had done it previously. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif
