I remember a website that had the information I was looking for but I can't seem to find it.
Anyhow, what level Virus affects a Svaltus is it 3 or 4?

Pretty sure it's 4, it's a large monster

If that's the case then that means it's impossible for me. Oh well.

That must have changed reacently or since AOI came out. Jarba used to always be SE4 Bullets only

Where have you been? That update was a long while ago before AOI was released (when we got the total AOI stat update to be precise)

Heck if i know, lol, all my bullets were LV21+ already.
All i remember is when I was like LV80 at Mad Beast, I could not Burn/Infect Jarba till I had LV21+, that was a year ago

I'm pretty sure Svaltus only take Infection lv4. My Dammegid lv40 has infection lv3 and they don't get infected. Use Virus traps, Dark Shot 21+, or Insei-sou +21.

Jarba's can be hit with SE lvl 2 now. Makes em easy pickings.

Svaltus and Grinnas I think still need virus lv4. I don't think I've seen my SE3 handgun or grenade skills work on 'em.

Svaltus can get LV3 Virus. Yamata-Misaki have LV3 and my friend Virus them all the time. Not sure about LV2...Ill test it out later.

Yes. Use Virus G if at all possible; it's faster than relying on mere chance of infliction.

don't the G traps give out lvl 3 SEs? Virus G is the only one that works.

Well, I'm playing as a Fighgunner, so Virus G traps are out of the question. I was thinking of leveling my dark crossbow bullets but that'll take a bit of time and with the PA adjustments around the corner I have other things I would like to do rather than focusing on that right now but was just wondering if SE 3 (Crossbow) will stick.
I guess I'll attempt to level it up after MAG and see how it works.
if level 3 from yamata-misaki works, then wouldn't level 3 from crossbow works too? You should level up the crossbow, it will assist and serve you well for later usage.

WHILE he was telling me how u NEED lvl 4 SE to SE Jabras, he burned it with lvl 3 LOL XD
he was all shocked and he didnt beleive it but he was the only using fire on a jarba lol
EDIT: they also did change it so that u only need lvl 2 now though, lol. except svaltuses http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Whether you can virus a Stalvus with lv 3 or not doesn't really matter. It takes so many hits to inflict it that you're better off using lv 4, or not trying to virus at all. Best way is still with Virus Trap G.
But for other monsters, they did lower the necessary levels to inflict SEs. So most enemies in the game that aren't completely immune can still be SE'd with lv 3 (or even lv 2).
SE 3 DOES work on Svaltus. I specifically remembering using my dark cards on them and infecting them (which is SE 3).
@Pika: Burn was the different SE. It was always level 3 for burn. But if you tried any of the others at lvl 3, it wouldn't work.
EDIT: Actually... cards are SE 2... and they did work on Svaltus (I know I froze them with it too before http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif)

I ran SW S2 5-6 times using my x-bow for a good portion of my svaltus killing just to see if I could infect them, and no I couldn't and my dark x-bow bullet is 27. (SE3). Never did I once infect one of them.
