Allow me this moment; I have intense instrument lust.

That's my current Bass, a Fender '51 Precision. I've had her for about 3-4 years and she's done well so far. The neck is a bit thick for my tastes and it's hard to make drastic slides so i've gotten accustomed to taking my palm off of the back entirely to slide up and down.

This is my dream bass, a Rickenbacker 4003. Punchier than a Fender Jazz, thicker than a Fender Precision, thin neck with a smooth action, dual truss rod neck design for extra strength to deal with non standard tunings, lightweight and a thin profile. Problem is, they cost $1,500+ easily, that's the kind of dough ol' Spike doesn't have. One day though.

One of my dream electric guitars, the Gibson Faded SG. Excellent tone, smooth neck and frets, light and thin profile with a finish that's sure to get more than just a few looks. I don't play guitar that much, and i'm more used to an acoustic guitar but if I ever invested in an electric, this would be the one.

And for the one totally out of my price range...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/SmileyCorp/FirebirdGT.jpg
The Legendary Gibson Firebird VII. Featuring an updated body from the original Firebird V, triple humbucker design for the ultimate in tone, unique design, and gold plated hardware. So how much does something like this baby cost? Retail price starts at $2,968.00 and can work it's way up to almost $3,500. You can get it for $1,000 less if you shop around but that's still too much damn money.

And while we're at it i'll trade my Yamaha P.O.S. retirement home keyboard for one of these two babies any day.

Ok if I don't stop now i'll just keep going on.

1st step, Kid Rock has to come to your house.

King of Rock, there is none higher trio member is your dad.

Then you can pick out the $5 G guitar from the wall of blingspensive gear.
