Who draws these exaggerated things on every character, even women?

I understand not having the skills for necks at all angles but not the extreme shading/lazy part of it going on there. Couldn't find major examples like in the face closeups which I see sometimes when forgetting to change the channel and this thing is on.

Don't see it? Need a closer look?

Sometimes its not just a one direction set of lines but a big ol checkerboard/lattice fence style of crossed line x's.

Or like Scrub said about animu cosplay and the neckbeards, they're actually just following the source art?

Wait, are they samurai or what? I'm totally confused; I've seen them in robes before. >_<

It's called hatching, Haya (or cross-hatching for the criss-cross). ;o

More like:

"Lieutenant Sergeant Major Captain from Squad 123456789-10?!!!!"

Paraphrased dialogue. That many exclamations used for effect in the dialogue.

shinigami = deathgod

essentially they go to the earth to collect souls of ghosts, before they turn into hollows, which eat other souls (both living and dead, essentially demons.)

and as Haya said, they have an annoying as fuck ranking system that outdoes any earthly military ranking system.

The hell kinda plot line is that?

not really the plot line beyond the first season, it's more of just a setting. It's the same as if you had a war movie. You could say it's about this side, and their fighting that side, but that's certainly not what the story is going to focus on. After the initial season, hollows are barely even mentioned for a long time, and everythin takes place in the Shinigami's world.

Animu! OLO!

If you don't understand this initial soul reaping/Soul Reaper's society part, do not find out about the rest of the plot.

That weird Shuri guy put some spoiler tags and made them simple one sentence plot blurbs and it still took half a page in this one rant topic.

souls, crystals, demons, dragons, and magics.

Basic plot for anime.

Yes. Its just a form of shading... the lighting is from above and behind, so that area is in shadow...

I am really more concerned about the lensflare.

It also suspiciously looks like One Piece artists. o.o

Oh god, that fucking shading.

I love to watch this show. Only because of how horrible it is. I sit down with my friend, and we have a grand old time pointing out all the terrible cliches and such (OH TURNS OUT I COULDVE BEAT YOU THE WHOLE TIME WITH MY ULTIMATE TECHNIQUE happens every other fucking fight haha).

The shading is one of the things. Jesus christ, it looks SO TERRIBLE. Omitting it completely would make the art look leagues better, easily.

I'm tempted to go and edit it out of the pictures, but I'll be damned if I have that kind of time. I've critrockets to fire.

Yeah, it kind of gets lost back there. I'd bump up the intensity on that baby and maybe even toss a few more in.

The circus act stereotype/standard staple bearded woman must thank you for your patronage.
You keep the wheels of circus commerce moving some kinda speed ahead!

They've done this while someone raises their face to the light source though. As in the neck should have gotten plenty of light same as the face and torso.

Lensflare, "best Photoshop tool ever?"

Guess some kids never stopped looking into the Sun when they got older. Must be their favorite thing to do in games that allow it too, stare at the Sun.
