AotI: Update Tomorrow Morning

Tomorrow morning there will be countless anxious PSU/MAG fans waiting to get their hand on the new mission. Now that sounds good and all but when can we expect this whole maintenance to be over? I mean, they are implementing A LOT so I'm curious as to when we can expect the servers back up for EST ^______^

Lotta folks said the same about Crimson Beasts. I expect that sort of thing to happen right up until servers close for the last time. There's always gonna be a hotspot people don't leave. It's up to you to speak up and find people that like to go elsewhere.

It makes me sad to see how negative peoples attitudes are. MAG hasnt even arrived and people are already putting it down and being judgmental. Who cares what missions people choose to run. So what if White Beast is still popular? How does that affect your gaming? Why can't we just enjoy the moments we have? Games are supposed to be fun, not a reason to put people down for the way they choose to play. I find it refreshing to know that anytime I can't find a group, theres always someone hunting at White Beast. So sad...

Has anyone else realized that this is an exact mirror of last year and Firebreak?

The White Beast of the day was Crimson Beast, *everyone* was there and nobody would leave. Well, along came Firebreak, and CB was bloody dead. You had one or two parties there (I checked out of curiosity), but 95% of people playing were having fun with Firebreak. And it was very fun. I don't think anyone I knew really got bored with it until the very end, and that may be for reasons I'll explain later. But what kept things interesting was the overall goals we were all working towards, and how they added two new missions midway through. And by the way, few people went back to CB after it was over. Firebreak completely killed it.

Is not MAG the same thing? Brand new missions, we all have the rewards to work for which now include a new mission and a new boss, and this time we have weapon badges we can trade in to work towards our individual goals. I think it's very refreshing. I have high hopes for it and maybe it'll kill off White Beast like Firebreak killed Crimson Beast.

And one of the bigger reasons people got sick of Firebreak towards the end? All the elitist dorks in Urgent Orders who went psychotic over Jaggo drops, manually restricted their parties to four people only, and generally took all the fun out of the event. I do hope we see less of those people in MAG, though I doubt it.

It's the internet, I know, but I do tire of the pointless pessimism here. Give MAG a chance, we'll see how well it does.

That, i remember. i got so annoyed i created an alt and went off to go play elsewhere.

(the alt was Cecelia Raven, which eventially became my main)
