View Full Version : When Does S Runs out weigh A Runs? / Recommended S level?

So level 80 in S gives a pretty bad reduction in EXP. From 80-100 it's about 3-4 A runs per level. When does S runs weigh out A runs? Meaning, when can you do less S runs than A runs? I've heard the recommended is like, 100. But I still see people EXPing in A runs to get to S around level 104.

Any help would be great, thanks!

i'd say S runs outweigh A runs starting at lvl 100-110 depending on your team. if you have a good team (clear in ~20 min) 100 is a good time to go. its easier for techers to get into a good party.

if you have a bad team that doesn't kill quickly, A runs is good until 110 at which point you get full exp from S.

I'm surprised at how many bad teams there are though. You may be better off till 110

I've heard this, I just don't want to admit to it. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif Because 4-5 runs from 100-110 of A just seems so ridiculous to me.

So you take 3-4 runs to level in the 80-100 range on A? I hope you mean on the high end, since I'm able to level in a run or two on S in the 80s.

So wait, you don't get full exp form S rank if you run it under a ceritan level? Or is justa clear time issue?

With all enemies, if you're more than thirty levels below them, the exp you receive will be reduced, the penalty getting worse with each level you're lacking.

Everyone I've run with so far on S seems to level up at least every two or three runs. However, I'd agree and say stick with A runs until you get to about 110.

I did not know this. Having not played for over a year I'm still out of touch with alot of stuff. Thank for the info.

There's almost no difference between S and A. It took me three runs per level on S, and still as as the EXP penalty lessens. I'm at 102 now, and I started yesterday at 86.

EDIT: Been doing S runs, just to clarify. >_>

Depends upon what kinda parties you can find, too. If you have an S group with high levels blazing through it, you'll get a better turnout, especially for the rares, whereas someone just high enough to do A runs won't be as good.

So bout how much EXP from A do you get and how much EXP from S do you get? Roughly of course.
I'm a 87 Fighgunner and i have ran the missions like 6 times and leveled up about 3 times so far

When you say "I have ran the missions like 6 times" are you referring to A or S?

I knew you got less somehow, but I didn't know it was that drastic.

Guess my caseal will stick with A; it's easier anyways. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Really don't like the reduced EXP if your more than 30 lvls less than the monster. You've killed the same monster, met the missions lvl requirement and yet you don't get the same EXP? Why? If its to stop lower lvls levelling up too fast by taking on much higher monsters then just up the lvl requirement for the mission rank.

The lower lvls have to work harder to kill the monsters and yet they get lower EXP.

This is good info. Since I am on level 70ish (I think) I'll be doing A runs when I decide to play. Thanks for creating this topic, Tink.
