AotI: Kill Ranking Board = Worrying About Players

I just want to start off by saying i'm a casual gamer and i do have a life outside of PSU and i'm sure i going to get hate mail for this but i dont care.

But i do worry for all these people trying to get this super ULTRA RARE needle gun WHOOPIE DOO people are spending WAY TOO much time playing this game this get a stupid item and i'm sure after this event is over a few of them will be sold in the shops if they can be.

but anyways i'm getting off track here... (whew)ok i just finished looking like the top 50 players in the game first off...this is only day 3 or 4 of the event and people are already about to break 100,000 kills ok... how is god's name is this possible?

I can only think of 3 reasons how... 1.) This people have no life. 2.) They are on drugs. 3.) Multiple people are taking turns playing on one character.

I'm more than likely to believe #3 but i believe #1 is involved as well...perfect example as far from what i know tidus is ranked #1 on the list but yet they still have time to post?? and if that is the case of multiple people playing;

I personally consider that as cheating and is not fair to the people and that are killing their bodies sleeping only a couple hours a day and playing this game all day long people guess what?? there is something outside of this game its called the real world!!

I say go out into the world meet a girl meet a guy go out to the movies or go do something you dont need to kill yourselves to get some little toy.

And if you get one good for you guess what? a couple of months down the road every one that didn't get one doing to event will get one eventually when they release them to the public oh sure it wont be as powerful or as cool but its going to be the same gun with the same effect it just wont have the (/g) at the end of its name.

btw its probably gonna be Kubara anyways meaning...it gonna SUCK!!!

And I put this in closing... please stop drinking rockstars, redbulls, or other energy drinks your only hurting you body even further.

Ok, first: Wow, that's a lot of text. Second: Welcome, this probably should be in the rants forum, but it will probably get moved there if a mod believes so, so no need to pay attention to that right now. Now Tidus could post and play at the same time just because anyone can. If you are on 360 or PS2 you could have a laptop with you or a computer in the same room, or on the PC you can have the browser and PSU running at the same time.
Also consider the fact that people have been anticipating MAG for a while, so they may have taken time off for the weekend just to play for large blocks of time: I'm sure in the next few days we'll see the numbrs slow down a bit.
As for the Spread Needle/G, not all Kubara weapons suck, the ones that aren't knockoff versions are often very good weapons for their Star Rarity, and others, like Spread Needle, gain large amounts of PP and ATP after grinding.

1)People arn't straining themselves. They have passion for this game. I'm sure they all have lives outside this game, but some think higher of it then you the casual player.
2)They arn't doing this only for the needle. They are doing it for the fame also. To become known as a "good" psu players. I say "good" because spamming C runs during this awesoem event is quite sad and doesn't really improve your playing skills anyway. 3) About what you mentioned on sharing accounts. I totally hate that also. Even though I don't see the leaderboards as highly as others do, it's still unfair to those who are the only ones on their account doing the best they can just to get passed up by those who like to "cheat".
4)If you're a casual player, none of this should concern you. Go to your real life where you claim you care about more and bitch about things there. The leaderboards arn't hurting you in any way/shape/form.

Lol, it's all good. I know some people who are sharing accounts and STILL aren't on the leader board. Some people define themselves by the games they play. They have nothing else in life that provides personal gratification and recognition. It's sad but it is true. This is their whole life. To be known throughout the entire community as one of the elites is gratification enough for these people. Ten to twenty years down the road, some will wake up and wonder what they have actually done with their life. Where did the time all go? What have I really accomplished? I'm currently ranked 29, Kari and guess what? I worked Friday all day and I am at work right now and I still managed to rank in the top 100.

It's called party efficiency, I see way too many people complaining about "omg S run sucks it takes 25+ mins" or something along those lines or "omg C run spammer noobs" all the time.

I mean seriously it's getting annoying and old, all these topics about leaderboards. Just get over it and don't hate on the people playing. It's thier time and effort being spent not yours.

If you spent as much time and effort into actually playing the game instead of worrying about the leaderboards, you might actually rank and help out the community as a whole in unlocking the prizes.

Oh well dude. I have a full time job and a part time job, so my chances are pretty much slim of getting a S needle. NOT to mention my xbox died two days before the event and I just got a replacement last night, making this harsh reallity a bit more real.

BUT I'm going to still try my hardest to get that frickin thing. I think the leader boards are SWEET!!! I especially like the time attack board, (although they should make it so every creature has to be defeated and NOT SKIP sections). Honestly I don't agree with the C spammers either, especially trying to come off as martyrs who are just trying to get the prizes for everyone. You and I both know for damn sure that not one of the people on page one, ranking 1st through 100th have ANY concern for the community's, prize vault, as it were and only care that they get a "zomg cheeze needle". But unlike my dear cousin I am not concerned about them. I consider them cheating scumbags that should find their way to the closest burning building and place themselves within. They've turned a competition into a mockery of the word, you haven't worked for anything so don't think so highly of yourself, C rank is hardly work, en mass or not.

Look, Sega gave us a leader board that we wanted to be on. To stay ranked we have to do C rank runs because everyone else is able to. If we couldn't do C, B, or A rank runs we'd just do S. We would still be ranked, the desire to be on the boards is pretty strong.

Anyway, I'm giving up on placing in the top 3. My 360 died, have to ship it in. I'm trying to fix another one at home, but that'll take all day. I've fallen too far behind. Not sure if I'll place top 10 now. It depends how quickly I'm able to get back in the game.

I can only think of 3 reasons how... 1.) This people have no life. 2.) They are on drugs. 3.) Multiple people are taking turns playing on one character.

I'm more than likely to believe #3 but i believe #1 is involved as well...perfect example as far from what i know tidus is ranked #1 on the list but yet they still have time to post?? and if that is the case of multiple people playing;

I personally consider that as cheating and is not fair to the people and that are killing their bodies sleeping only a couple hours a day and playing this game all day long people guess what?? there is something outside of this game its called the real world!!

I say go out into the world meet a girl meet a guy go out to the movies or go do something you dont need to kill yourselves to get some little toy.

And if you get one good for you guess what? a couple of months down the road every one that didn't get one doing to event will get one eventually when they release them to the public oh sure it wont be as powerful or as cool but its going to be the same gun with the same effect it just wont have the (/g) at the end of its name.

btw its probably gonna be Kubara anyways meaning...it gonna SUCK!!!

And I put this in closing... please stop drinking rockstars, redbulls, or other energy drinks your only hurting you body even further.

Honestly I don't agree with the C spammers either, especially trying to come off as martyrs who are just trying to get the prizes for everyone. i'm pretty sure the top players on the list with kills share their accounts with other people. when you have like 4 people playing your account round the clock, you can easily rack up a large number of kills.

if we are to reach the 200 million kill mark, a lot more players will need to spam C and "cheat" their way through the ranking board.

The ones I know in the top 10 dont account share, you wouldn' beleive how dedicated they are. Its actually quite amazing.

Wow, I'm surprised this thread isn't locked yet.

Why don't people just stop whining about these C rank spammers? If they want to spend over a hundred hour this month spamming the same easy C rank mission over and over for this little piece of online data, it's their business. They're indirectly helping the global kill count for the whole population, so I say let them keep at it if that's what they wanna do.

It's not as if having a spread needle will be game breaker. Just get a Desta, grind it a bit, and you have all the shotgun power you need. The only thing you get from having that needle is bragging rights. And even then... brag about what? How you were able to withstand doing the same boring and challengeless mission for a whole month? The true spread needle will be released at some point in the future anyways. Then you'll be able to brag about how yours has a /G at the end.

So really, stop the arguing and just let them go at it. They'll get their above average shotgun, the community gets a higher global kill count as a result, and everyone's happy. Of course some people might have concerns about these people's health, but I don't think a fansite forum is the place to discuss that.
