In order to receive the Sange sword at 200,000,000 kills Reward. Starting from last friday, when the event started. We need 7,200,000 kills a day to get it.

As i am posting this, we have 29,772,397. Which means that we are ahead of the amount needed as of now by 972,397 kills.

Keep up the good work guys! And Tidus 4:15 >.> Lol And i am posting this for people who didn't know what we needed to get it. So Yeah. Just trying to help ^.^

(List of rewards here http://phantasystaruniverse.jp/event/mag2008/en/ )

This should be a sticky:P

Yes, but that was over the first weekend of the contest, when participation will have been at its peak. Plus, GTA4 and Mario Kart come out tomorrow. I think we may be in trouble for the 200,000,000 point.

We've been getting 10 mil a day, but it seems to have slowed down between last night and today which is kind of scary.

7,200,000 isn't as bad as it seems though.

Yeah i know. Its terrible. I am a GTA Fanatic, but I'm going to have to put it down until after the event. MAG is here now. GTA is here forever. GTA can wait. No matter how awesome it is ;____;

Im sure that anyone else doing Badge runs will be finishing Ruins with more kills per run just like me and all my parties. Im thinking when Ruins and Project DF are released there will be a good jump in the kill counts.

Yep. Fun work and school for most of us.
I also heard the event ends at 200mil. Kinda scares me but o well http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

We'll have some more burst during the weekends but it's more likely the average will lower a bit due to real life responsabilities for most during the weekdays.

Hopefully that buffer will streach out a bit.

Mario Kart and GTA are putting a big roadblock in front of us. But rememer folks:

Those other games will be here a month later! The Maximum Attack event will be gone by then. So put down those new games and play PSU for a while.

Mario Kart ... putting a big roadblock in front of us.

bad excuse

GTA ... putting a big roadblock in front of us.

But this is a problem.

I'm planning on holding off on other games until the event's over, of course. But I dunno how much Project DF will boost anything; isn't that just a boss fight with Falz? Or do you actually fight other enemies on the way to him?

Opening ruins should help, though. The kills:time ratio will stay the same, 'course, but the loot from the ruins should spur more people into doing the runs.

I will definitely be focusing on PSU only during this event. I really want all of the rewards. I hope we can keep it going. Hopefully we will have 35 million by the time I get home and start adding to my kill count.

My unscientific observations tell me that most PSU players aren't into GTA4. Mario Kart seems to be a bigger draw, though it'll only be a short distraction.

New games are always gogin to draw away people. Doesn't matter what it is.

Daily totals always slow down towards the end of an event. Plus, you can't assume that people play as much during the week as they do on weekends. I doubt we will make it to 200 million. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Hey, I'm sure that the amount of players who play Mario K or GTA is about half and half in terms of the PSU playerbase. Driving fans and the younger crowd may play Mario K. and the older crowd may play GTA.

Then again, you never know.

Just so that battlebot isn't confused, Program DF is ruins. They aren't separate entities. Am I wrong?

Ruins is an extra 2 blocks. NPC's will be mini-bosses at ruins end. Program DF is the actual "big" boss.

The MAG event is *much* more important than the other games that released. This is a once in a game series event. It's not like they'll have another Maximum Attack G event. This should take priority over any and all other games.

My guess is that we'll be behind in our daily kill count by tomorow. We'll catch up a little on the weekend and then keep falling further behind. We're moving very slow on kills. The weekdays are going to kill us with this event.

Apr 28, 2008, 03:06 PM
Yea the weekdays are pretty much gonna slow is way down. I'm skeptical myself about reaching the 200m mark but I'm sure we can reach 100m and unlock falz in a weeks time or so.

Since the OP's post at about noon...

we've accumulated roughly 505,000 kills. It's been an hour.

Is that a decent pace for a weekday?

I'm getting that this gives us 12mil a day, assuming this is how much we get every hour for the whole day. I'm instead going to assume that most people sleep for 10 hours, and everyone is playing now, so that would instead give me 7mil, just short of our daily recommended amount.

We're still a day ahead of schedule, basically. If we can keep this up, we'll have ruins by thursday.
By the way, our current average is 9mil a day. At that rate, we'll have the prize with a week to spare, gaining 66mil a week.

I will say that my card list has been *dead* today relative to the past two days, and I know some people are already *bored* with the event. I hope we've got enough of a buffer worked up here.

People are already getting burned out from grinding C-ranks, hahaha. They probably should have taken a more leisurely approach to things. Doing 200+ missions a day will wear on anyone.

KoruKinshi

Well, how do we keep it up? A lot of trouble also lies in people not willing to form parties with just anyone. I can understand that to a point, but we need to break the marks as quick as possible. They won't break themselves. I know I'm camping the event. Game wise, nothing would be more important to me.

oh course there was more activity on saturday and sunday that is the weekend when people have a lot less things to do, such as work or school.
