Obviously this happened before Ruins came out, and we're obviously in Mines there. So how did we get 257 kills?

Wallhack maybe to get into ruins kill a few monsters then go back and use the switch?

No, people had this happen before ruins was even out, too.

I've had 258 kills before Ruins...I think it may just be lag to be perfectly honest, it may of 'double' counted a single kill maybe?

I'm pretty sure once the NPC leaves they add an extra point to the kill count.
