So I went and hurt
My fingers when counting the
The syllables, friends

So I retire
To the Dreamland of now and
Then we shall see, yes

The 5 - 7 - 5 rule, by the way, is a little stupid and (I believe) has been contested.

The problem is that Haiku form originates in a completely different language with completely different rules than English (yeah, completely different, you wanna start somethin'?)

Completely different implies that there are no such things as nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc.

If you can find such a language, you should go look for the Grail next.

I laughed, I cried.

And, thank you, Solstis. That's one of my pet peeves.

I like 5 - 7 - 5 because of the limitation, but I think I might start going for a sexy 6 - 9 - 6.
