View Full Version : The Ulitmate Character

Like everyone knows the Hunter class is the most common class in PSO. To be different i made a FOnewearl which is probally the second most rare character u see. The begining was alot of work. From lv 1 to 30 i felt weak and useless when playing with other people. It was alot of work training and leveling up my character. Especially the amount of money that u must waste on fluids. Now being at lv 77 i feel that all my work has paid off. I can equip Hunter weapons... Soul Eatter, DBL etc. and my ATP is almost maxed with shifta. 918 with the Soul Eatter. Plus my MST is really high 610 and almost maxed out. My Def is around 400 something using Parasite Wear: Del Rol which is probally my only weakness. But with high ATP and MST that is the ulitmate character right there. I can cast Techniques from far away with huge amounts of damage then finish them off with my Soul Eatter with no problem. I now make Hunters at higher levels then me look bad. Plus at the same time i serve as a support character using Shifta and Deband and healing. Im glad i went with a Force now this must be the best class at the end.

Wow -

Your conclusion is almost the opposite from mine in the Force areana... I have a lv 78 FOnewm, and I feel that I lag behind the hunters easily. I have a 600 or so atp w/ shifta (w/ soul eater equipped) and I have my mst maxed out. My spells, while useful, pale in comparison to a good hunters 3 hit combo w/ a dragon slayer. And to top it all off, I can take maybe 2 or 3 hits from a monster before death. Oh, and on VHard, any hit from almost any boss will kill me. I always feel like the weak link of the group. How did you get your ATP so high? My mag is mostly mind, w/ def as its 2nd highest. Is your mag mostly Pow? I am very interested, since I do like this character (so many hours invested in him!) but I am just feeling left behind. I mean even hunters 10 levels lower make me look bad.

Please share your secrets oh great one!

I have a lot of respect for those of you who can stick with a FOrce. I tried one, but got bored after using my RAnger so much.

For some reason though, I don't like my Ranger. I'm not exactly sure why, but I just don't like him very much. Today I started a new character and I like her alot more. Her name is Uriana and she is a HUnewearl. Right now she is lvl 4 because I just started, but I hope to catch up to my Ranger by the weekend (he is lvl 31).

Those Japanese PSO players really have a love for gaming that us Americans don't have. They will stick with a game until the have perfected it. It really is kinnda amazing. Hats of to all of you above level 70 and are forces.

I assume she has a power heavy mag... I have an almost pure def mag, so my force can take a decent beating but can't do much damage. I designed it that way since my thinking was... A force should focus on spellcasting, and if you want to do combat mainly with some casting make a HUmar, but maybe that was a mistake. Anyway... at some point you will max out your MST naturally, so mind heavy mags are a liabilty later on. At the point you max out your base MST the ideal force mag is probably some combination of power and def since all the other stats will be maxed out as well.

I have a lv 200 Soniti Mag. It has 156 Pow and 36 Def thats 1 reason why. I also have a Parasite Wear: Del Rol with 2 slots which has a God/Power equiped and a God/Mind+. I suggest u make some adjustments to your character then u won't regret it. If u would like to play with me sometime ill be glad. My aim name is GW Deathscythe15, email me or just let me know on this topic ill get back to u. Im a cool PSO player i try to give stuff away and i hate lamers that jack things.

What are the best items for raising a mag?

JJ
03-01-2001, 04:50 AM
Ahh this is kinda of off topic but.... there are no "best items" it all depends on your class.

I have a RAmar lvl 20 and a HUmar lvl 43. What would be the best item to raise power for my RAmar? His mag is a Kaitbaha or something lvl 50.

I don't care what level your force is...any damage you think you can do will look minor compared to a hunter tearing through a level with a spread needle.

Is the Spread Needle that good? I saw one today on a lvl 100(disclaimer i know he didnt cheat) but he wasnt doing no where the damage I was doing with a plain Shadow Spread +20 w/ 50% dark http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_wink.gif

Nick: Anything from the 'Mate' series usually works best. Later on, Trimates are a great investment.

Ghost: This happens a lot. Weapons with high % bonuses will always rock the house, Spread Needle or no Spread Needle... then again... A Needle with +50% dark...?

Personally, I'm all about normal weapons with high percents. For a while I was using a Soul Mace with +25% Machine +30% Dark, +15% Hit. It was the bomb. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

"Weapons with high % bonuses will always rock the house, Spread Needle or no Spread Needle..."

Agreed. While I've got a couple of high-level nifty things (okay, I'm only lvl30, so my definition of 'high-level nifty stuff' is the same as a higher-level character's 'trash pile'), I always still keep coming back to ol' Bessie: my Shot +20 (raised her from a +6), 25% versus A.Beast, 35% versus Dark. With that, I was doing damage on par with a character 10 levels higher than me with a common 'nifty' weapon.

No comparing to a Spread Needle, perhaps, but fun nonetheless. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

Wow JJ -

I want to thank you heartily... I was started to get disalusioned with my force... was starting a RAcast (who I still think is cool). But now I have gone back to my Force and started to beef up a Power mag... already got it up to lv 50. I got very lucky tho... When I got my mag to this point, I thought I should go back up my character. So I did (THANK GOD!). When I came back on, my system crashed in like 15 minutes, and the force was corrupted. Good god, I am so glad I read the posts about backing up characters. That would have been horrible.

Anyway, thank you for making me realize that I still have something to shoot for (with my force).

A quick question; I thought mags could only get 120 in a certain stat... is this not the case? I go by Mun-KEE Boy online, would love to hook up w/ you once.

Oh by the way -

On the topic of the Spread Needle... no one I know uses one. Also, I think if I ever encountered a situation like the one described above w/ a hunter tearing through w/ a spread needle, I think I would just leave. I think that weapon is a great way to say NO TEAMWORK! My ranger has a good compliment of weapons (VISK, CRUSH BULLET, GOD/ARMS) given to by my force, but I also keep some items w/ me that are just normal for level guns. I mean, if I am destroying EVERYTHING cuz of a good weapon, and I am playing w/ other people, I just switch to the weaker weapon. Its no fun when you cant even land a hit cuz the other person kills everything. That isnt called teamwork. In fact, it is the 'anti-teamwork'. Anyway, that is my thoughts.

The spread needle is a pretty lame weapon im glad they made it so rare i barely see any1 using this. Ive played with my friends which are rangers that have a spread needle and we use teamwork i dont know what u mean. He para. every1 and every1 else just finishes the job. The spread needles attack isnt very high you know. And i got my Soniti mag from a trade. You know a Soniti mag is gotten from using a mag cell maybe this had something to do with it. Today lets meet up ill stay on AIM and see if i see you. I have DSL so it doesnt use up my line.

The best item to feed any mag is a star atomizer, but it doesnt usually focus on one stat, but a more average increase. This is in general, consult the mag guide.

Look at it this way.....I have a hunter and I use the needle. Its heavy attack hits about 530 with NO affinities. Its heavy attack shoot s as rapidly as a shotgun's regular attack.

Now....whenever I play a game I kill mostly everything before my partners get anywhere near sword-swinging distance.

Just think about it.....how many weapons do 530 damage to about 5 targets across the room and shoot as fast as a standard weapon's normal attack?

And look at the bonus...you can always paralyze the whole friggin room with it...

THERE IS NO WEAPON THAT TOPS THIS, NONE.

^It might be best to avoid bumping really old threads... especially one from 9 years ago =p

By the way, welcome to PSO-World!

Yeah, let's not bump threads this old. Best to avoid bumping threads more than a month or two old.
