So, I finally got my PM up to level 80, but she changed into a 410 series. I want to convert her into a 422 series, but I can't feed her the upgrade device. Is there a way to change it?
And before people start barking at me to check PSU-Pedia, the damn thing reads like stereo instructions. How do I get her to change in to a 420 series?

You can't. It's 410 because of what you fed it. To make it a 420 type, you have to restart it by feeding it a zero, making it level 1 again, and refeed it what a 420 one needs.

Level up your PM's B st to lvl 15, then use EX Device GH422. (assuming you don't care about its syn attribute)

EX devices affect synth percents?

No they don't. I turned my 452 into a 424 and it still has the same synth percentages.

That's what I thought, but I was just making sure because it wouldn't be the first time SEGA has failed to communicate clearly on how things work. I have changed my PM many times as well, but I got a little suspicious when one of the 12 star boards only had an 86% success rate.

What I meant was turning (let's say) a pure strike GH 410 to GH 440, it will be a GH 440 with pure strike, not pure armor. Since he wanted to make a GH 422 to begin with, I guess synthesis isn't a main concern here.

So then that's the case. To have the bot I want, I have to sacrifice synth capabilities. Oi. Oh well, back to the drawing board, I guess. :/

Contrary to popular belief, EX Devices do not affect your PM's synthing ability. Just get the B St up to 15, which should take a week if you take it with you on every mission.

Did you read the thread? No, you don't.

Level the production type you desire and then use an EX device to change it to the model you wish after raising its Battle Stat by spamming quick missions. You will then have the model PM you desire and retain whatever synthing production level you had.

Question. Does your partner machine have to be at level twenty for it to change and if so how do u give it the device?

Level 80, and you feed it to your PM like any other item.
