actually the meaning can vary a lot, thanks to all the negative connotations christianity used it for plus what might not and what might really be paganism

that is assuming you follow that form of paganism, like was already said pagan is just an insulting term used to mean non-christian so it could refer to shinto, buddhism, Islam, wicca, etc
