I never went to my prom. $50 for standing there doing nothing? (Just for the tickets. It was $25 more for something or another that was expected to be purchased as well.) No thanks. I stayed home and played videagaems and was happier for it.

Well if you stood around and did nothing during your prom then yeah, it was probably better that you stayed home.
But normal people usually dance and shit during their prom.
At least, thats what I did.

I've danced before and didn't enjoy it. I didn't enjoy talking to the vast majority of the rest of my class as I frankly didn't connect with them and the few that I did enjoy talking to didn't go to the prom either. I hate loud and crowded places as well and they are more draining on me than enjoyable. So, my evening of staying home with family and watching a movie and playing games was far more enjoyable than going to a loud, crowded place with a bunch of people I either didn't know or didn't like. That and it was a rip-off. Like hell was I going to spend as much as a couple hundred dollars for dinner, suit rental, and tickets.
