Three weeks of Free play for PC/PS2 users!
PC/PS2 players can now also take part in a special three weeks of free play, meaning that all past subscribers can rejoin to experience Max Attack G and see just how much better the universe has become since launch. Spread the word and invite your friends back - their kills will help the global total as well! While players will need AOTI to play the event, even past players without it can still login absolutely free.

Note: This is not an official SEGA promotion, and free period dates may be subject to change.

Call your friends.

Read: We have no billing server and are guessing that it'll take about three weeks before we get a new one.

Regardless, enjoy your free play time.

Here's hoping we get 200mil- if we do I might make a few dummy accounts for extra Sange(s) http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
I must have a +10 Sange >_>

I like how ST turns a technical side effect of a colossal fuck up into a "promotion".

Definitively calling some old friends for this. It might actually convince them to stay if they make enough progress in the event.

Kanore

They should just make it free forever.

Well, this is great news for me since I wanted to try playing again. Better PM some people.

I take it people that haven't subscribed before can't play for free? I hope so because I predict a mess of undesirables joining, otherwise. *shudders* Other than that, this is a pretty neat idea, even though making it free for everyone until the billing site is replaced was inevitable anyways. At least we now know that SEGA can make lemonade. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif But in all seriousness, I doubt it will, but I hope this gets us a full universe again.

So we can say hello to no updates and no action taken against shenanigans?

It's nice that this happened.

I would have been 065'd on Sunday. ;_;

I'm wondering if people who haven't played before can take advantage of this? I have a few friends who would like to try it but are unsure. A free period would be a good trial for them...

Past subscribers only.

Whew, I'm a tad short on cash this month, so this plus the free playtime (I was 065'd for awhile, then got to play for about one week prior to this for free) is very much appreciated! Also, I hope we can keep some of the older players on :/ I'll be calling up all my friends to sign back on for sure!

Ah, alright. Well that settles that I suppose. Heh. One of them has an old account at least.

Yep, they made lemonade all over the player base, and said player base is gonna keep on comin' for more! Mmm, tangy.

So, if we have an active account, will these three free weeks even phase us? Or, will the date in which our account is supposed to go inactive get pushed back by three weeks?

Im taken it if you started an inactive account during this three weeks. The you won't be charge since there is no billing system. Current accounts are already been charged.

You mean have a full game acessable from the start and then be forced to make real expansions? Why would they ever do something so stupid?

WBMike

Now I wonder if they will actually advertise this "promotion" aka "workaround bug fix" to any of the past subscribers.

This is actually incorrect. Anyone with the client and a playsega account can log into the game. The playsega account does not need to have existed before Friday or ever have subscribed to PSU in the past.

(I have a good faith belief, after speaking to one of the official forums moderators, that this is not considered an error to be hush-hush about.)

Ooo. So people who've never played PSU at all can just get the game installed, get an account and still take advantage of the 'promotional' period? If so i might ask some friends to try it out. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I just informed the people on the main forum I go on (Shoryuken.com), trying to get the word out. Maybe help increase the population a little bit.
