I think the new look of the forums is a good start. A few minor tweaks to layout and I would like to see the whole pso-world website in this layout. Comments on making one layout:
1. Move the daily luck window to the top of the page somewhere on the home page. It would be greay to not have to dive down into other sbpages to find it. Similar to how psupedia.info has it right on the homepage.
2. The pso banner about the horizontal menu in the forums should probably link back to the pso-world homepage and not the forum index.
3. If using the forum layout for the main homepage I would suggest turning the icon menu (News, Forums, Items, Guides) into the same icon menu style but make the links, PSU, PSO, Forums, etc. It would nice if each phantasy star game had a seperate homepage with quick way to get from one to the other. As much as I love the giant menu system on the left it can be confusing. This way once you in the PSU section all menus on the left relate to PSU.
4. The horizontal menu under the main banner menu is nice but i do not see anything on that menu which is useful except maybe FAQ/Rules, Members, Arcade, Links, and Log Out. Perhaps adding a link to our account preferences.
5. Begin able to set the time and date format
6. On forum settings there are two boxes for PSU Character Information. In voth cases the input text box is outside the group box border.
That is all for now, I have plenty of website ideas seeing as I am a website developer by career.
