So I was at my local international supermarket yesterday looking for some instant soba. Seeing as how I wasn't in the mood to cook it from scratch... So anyways. I didn't see any that I had tried previously or heard of so I picked up a brand named U.F.O. I wasn't really paying much attention to what I had picked out to come home and find the instructions were entirely in Japanese. This would have been great if I knew more katakana... So I fudged around and made it like Nong Shim's bowl noodles. I tore the sauce package at the end and some of it spilled on my fingers so I emptied the package in the bowl then rinsed my hands. The noodles were as good as any other brand of instant soba. I didn't expect it to be too much different. Only gripe I have about U.F.O. is that damn sauce that spilled on my hands... It smells like tuna oil and WILL NOT WASH OFF! My hands still smell like the sauce and I've washed my hands with odor eliminator Palmolive and its still there. D:

If anyone knows how to get rid of this sort of thing I'd appreciate some input. This is really starting to get to me. D:

It's pure cola syrup. It's supposed to be some sort of old time remedy for nausia. I have a bottle somewhere in my medicine cabinet.

CVS or your local neighborhood pharmacy. Hell, even bigger foodstuffs places like Giant, Bloom, Piggly Wiggly, etc should carry the stuff. I've even seen it in gas stations next to the stacker "power" mints and condoms.

A friend of mine and I made a jello gelatin mix from the stuff. It tastes very metallic.

no idea why I think as such, but dip them in flour for a bit and then clean with soap and water. (i suppose because it's absorbent and used to clean grease easily)
