I'm always a fan of sticking my hit Rainbow Baton on every character though.

If you time your attacks in PSU you do more damage, also, the timing is diffrent between attacks (unlikes PSO same exact timeing) as well as vastly diffrent between certain weapons. You can button mash, but if you want to do more damage, you don't. And honestly, PSO IS button mashing, just at same time intervals.

Button mashing and timing are pretty much opposites last I checked.
Unless you're Gifoie, you have to act least have some sort of direction and mashing buttons won't get you past the first hit of any combo I know of.

Yeah, PSO isn't the epitome of strategy and tactics, just like PSU isn't... but there's certainly better terms than button mashing, especially if I were to be describing it to someone else.

when I spend half the time mind numbingly pushing the same button in over and over, that's close enough to button mashing for me, even if not in the traditional sense. My point is, it is still mindless.

I love Resta level 2 in a multiplayer run. Hey I can target others but it still doesn't heal them!
At least level 1 doesn't throw me off as much because it just doesn't even bother targeting.
