Yes, though I'd recommend rolling it onto the carpet rather than the table as throwing it onto a table will earn you a loud thunk and probably knock everyone's miniatures over.

Yeah. Each side has between 1 and 8 of them. Count the copper rings on the side that comes up and that's what you rolled.
