Is version 2 free now?

Well, I got online on Version 1 for the first time in forever, and I asked people if v.2 still costs money to play. They all said no, no v.2 players have to pay anymore. I was just wanting it confirmed here. So, is it free?

I think it depends where you live, the EU users got it later so they didn't have to pay a HL.

A buddy of mine was refusing until this past xmas to move over to the 'dark side' of the cube, and was stll using DC v2. He was paying something retarded like less than $5 for three months in yen. I was cheap while I waited for the cube, and went back to v1. It doesn't make you want to kill people when you get NOLed. ^_^

Ugh. The fee is totally necessary. Do you people realize how expensive it is to run and keep updating servers..adding new quests...maintenence..etc

Only thing I think they should charge for is maintnence cause nothing else is being changed O_o plus they're running a little ammount of servers which are barely with people? ^_^;

If I were them I'd just put a total of 6 servers max. Wait, 5. 2 for US 1 for EU and 2 for JPN. Last time I went to JPN servers there were like 20 people maybe? O_o

i'd say, 2jp-2us-4eu servers would do in the moment -and the only servers that are full these days are those with the official challenge-blocks...
