Some of you might have heard of it on the national news.

The river crested today, only about 10 blocks from my house. Also, these pictures are mostly of the industrial part of downtown Cedar Rapids. Allot of my friends had to be evacuated, my friend Cody estimated that my friend Dean's house would be totally submerged it water, and my Friend Courtny's house with about 2 feet. I wanted to go out and take pictures last night, but there was a curfew and the police were kicking people out if they came downtown. Problem is, i think the flood will move to Coralville now, so this isn't over.

I didn't get allot of picture's, becuase the national guard was there. D:
And, correction, it was 6 in a half blocks from my house D:

The whole downtown area is submerged in water.

I mean, i didn't have internet all yesterday becuase one of Quests buildings got flooded or something. If the flood spread 6 1/2 more blocks, my house would be completely submerged in water. I could have lost everything I own.

Does anyone here understand what FLOODING means? Flooding is a BAD thing not a FUN thing. Flood waters mean ruined homes, businesses, belongings, and lots of costly things. You don't have fun in flood water; it's contaminated and can possibly electrocute you if you're in the wrong place.
