This has got to be the dumbest thing I've heard. Sega of America, sure, they've screwed up a few times, but they're trying to please you bitchy why-don't-we-get-what-another-country-gets assholes with these funky events, and all the lot of you do is BAAWW about how you didn't get what you wanted. They're trying their damndest to pull their asses out of the ground, and all you do is whine at them because you think you know exactly what's going on down at Sega.

But hey, you're the suckers throwing money at them anyways, so you're just as much an idiot as them. :)
(By the way, I'm playing for free right now. Which is all it's about worth right now, due to it turning into White Beast Online[quoted from Uncle_Bob])

As for specifically "Segac", seriously, what the hell is this about? Based on Kubara products because they're knockoffs? What the hell is Sega a knockoff of? It's stupid.

Sheesh, I've never heard such idiocy since Runescape and WoW.

Allegedly.

I prefer the term "Epic Failure Patrol". But anyway if you don't like the service you are receiving i suggest you not give them your money. Theres plenty of other things you can do with it.

People make mistakes. Company's make mistakes. we are not all robots...yet.

Anyway BAWWWWW ing about games is what give people a reason to live.

We already know SEGA, in general, who developed the game, are failures so I don't see why calling them knockoffs would do any better.

Simply because we seem to be getting worse service then the japanese do when paying the same price (or more if you're British of course)

Sega of America = the kubara version of Sega of Japan

The idea behind the name is completely applicable to SoA/ST, so until it stops being applicable I don't see the name-calling ending.

Once they learn to stop making false promises, it'll stop.

I know they're trying, but they need to realize that their fanbase is going to continue to dwindle as long as they continue to delay scheduled updates. It'd be different if they gave estimates, but they're saying stuff IS going to happen at a given time and then it doesn't.

I think it'd be in their best interest to double-check their updates, as well. I understand that *every* MMO producer (yes, even everyone's precious Blizzard) is going to screw up some patches and updates, and that's fine. We're only human. But there was a time when screw ups were almost a consistency with Sonic Team's PSU updates. And this is no different between Japan and America.

The damage has been done with most people, and Sega's going to have to be flawless for a long time before people fully begin to trust them again.

It's also for hilarity purposes.
If you think they are doing such a damn good job, then look at the numbers still playing this game. A hell of a lot lower then what they set this game up to be.

It's annoying when people do all the lolSEGAC stuff, yeah, but I write it down as a stupid Internet meme and roll my eyes at it. People being all negative all the time are no good, but I also think the people saying BAWW QUIT NOW are just as stupid. Sometimes people are unhappy with a certain thing, and they have a write to make an intelligent complaint about it. As long as they keep it balanced and, again, intelligent, I don't think it should be a problem.

It was cute once.

the Segac thing. Because I alligned the concept not because of it being a knockoff but the "probably" or whatever with the description.

Or so it is said.

I like to emphasize when people are ranting, but seriously segac of americac is doing an incredibly awful job and to be honest many people feel the same.

in fact at first it was fine to tell complainers to stfu, i mean the game was slow but at least it was steady with updates - you just can't defend them anymore and telling people to BAWWWW and quit is just a collapsing circle of player hatred where nobody likes each other and its all segac's fault.

For the record, i have quit and gave away my stuff because i had enough.

Segac: This once prosperous and great company now offers an online game with great customization and a fun fighting system coupled with a friendly community, sometimes.

It's a joke.

Nitro, do you realize why people bitch? It's because Sega has done a bad job. They're a large corporation. They make a lot of money. They're paid money to run and maintain a video game. They aren't doing their job well enough and it's their own damned fault they've lost so many players and get so much bitching. I quit for multiple reasons, each one Sega bringing upon me. I've had no community issues ever. The community is what made the game fun for me. What pushed me was a completely unbalanced combat system, terrible difficulty ranges like LOLEASY or ridiculously hard, unfair drop rates (seriously, there's literally nothing for a casual player to obtain and have fun with) and a truly redundant gaming experience.

Sega deserves all the flak they get. Sorry doesn't feed the bulldog >:U

Not that I don't doubt your statement about the numbers being lower than planned, but it brings up a question I've been wondering for awhile. I've heard estimates of the amount of players ranging from 1000-5000 or so, and what I want to know is: does anyone actually have a source for player population. Is there some site that tracks this kind of stuff, is there a counter on PSU's official site that I missed? :???:

I think most of that talk is based on the amount of stars each universe has and not a completely accurate source. Each full star means at least something, as does half of a star. But it's not an exact number, so yeah... Best way to tell what the activity's like is just to go around and see.

Hard to count population when everyone is level capped/keeps doing White Beast.

Don't mind the level cap, that was an after thought.

If there is ANY legitimate thing to bitch about, it's everything that we classify as 'Segac' business. What with the delays and such. This one isn't going anywhere for a while, and I think it's funny.

Bitching about other things is a different story, but this one I think is a lot more justified than 3 to 5 paragraph bitch-fest about something so du---oh, sorry.

BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Because simply they are doing an awful job as people say

So they have the right to complain/Bitch
Like lets see... Error 065 lololol???
Where 3/4 of the server couldn't even play MAG or even try for the leader boards
So yeah if I couldn't fucking play in event for an entire however it lasted
I would be bitching as well

10 bucks a month people. You're not paying them a fortune ya know.

I still want to hear from a Sega employee or programmer, so we can know exactly what's going on.

You're doing it wrong.

It doesnt bother me at all that sega is doing a crappy job and delaying updates. Ill just find something to do on the game while I wait for them to get their act together. I will admit however I was rather pissed that I got error 65'd during the mag event and couldnt play for two weeks. Other then that error 65 issue I have really nothing to whine about sega.

And even then second MA:G doesn't have a set date yet other than late June bs. Facing the truth that PSU has become boring.. I've spent more time playing other games cuz life ain't psu. Ain't gonna waste time bawwing too much.

Good thing I can still log on from time to time to do that odd run and grab teh free casino coin.

Despite them not keeping promises, delaying stuff, etc. I still give ST the benefit of the doubt. Segac does get annoying from time to time, so i rarely use it.
Maybe.

no your not, but when everyone's paying that they make a tidy sum, i have no ide if they are making profit us side though. Come to think of it though - the reason they probably botching everything up is because the us side is no longer making profits and is being cut back because of it and psujp is probably keeping it alive.

Yeah, but I could go play Guild Wars or its ilk for free (minus the cost of the game itself) and get several times the quality of service SEGA(C) is currently providing.

It's an indisputable point. SEGA's management of PSU blows. Ten dollars (or 15 for anyone not in the States. Which is also idiotic considering everyone else's money is worth more or the same right now) isn't a lot, that's true, but I shouldn't be paying them to screw with me.

I don't blame people for having grudges with Sega though, either.

The service will never improve. To be honest, I'm completely shocked of the support we have in the first place from Segac. The fact that the company has gone from a console empire rivaling nintendo at one point to a below-average software company should say enough.

But, the bottom line here is the game is still fun, and you shouldn't solely rely on updates to keep you interested in the long run, otherwise your interest will just wither quickly.

When someone plays more then one online game, let's say they play two, that adds up. I'm not going to pay 10 dollars to a company who's not maintaining their game properly. My money is going to them so they can maintain shit. Why would I play this heap when I could pay ten bucks for a game that's far better in every way? It doesn't matter how low the price is; people aren't going to pay to play a shitty game.
